Re: Writer!Anon Re: Welcome to the New Age - Part 16/???

(Anonymous) 2013-01-04 07:53 am (UTC)(link)
I love, love, love, love, LOVE Achilles. So glad that Connor and Achilles have had a chance to reunite again. Connor desperately needs his daddy! figure, and Achilles deserves to have his apprentice/adopted son back.

Worried about Washington following the Aquila though. I hope the homesteaders aren't harmed by Kanen'tó:kon's decision to bring Connor to the Homestead (though maybe it's a good opportunity to relieve Washington of a certain apple?).

Really curious as to how Kanen'tó:kon got Connor away without alerting Haytham. Kanen'tó:kon announced his intentions to Haytham earlier, so either Haytham is woefully unobservant (doubtful) or Kanen'tó:kon pulled quite a stunt. :D

Am so loving Kanen'tó:kon and feeling bad that Connor feels so helpless in his presence. No, dear Connor, it's not fair, but it'll get better.

2 Haythams

(Anonymous) 2013-01-04 08:11 am (UTC)(link)
Anon is interested in seeing Haytham somehow splitting into two: one Templar Grandmaster! Haytham with his ideals and beliefs, the other father! Haytham.

They fight over the correct course of action in regards to Connor and can't agree on ANYTHING.

At first, they're happy being split into two, but the split has made both unstable, and they need to be recombined into one. Worse, for some reason, only Connor can recombine them, which is sure to bring back Haytham the way he was before.

Reactions.

OP LOVES YOU!

Finally good things start happening to Connor as he's finally reunited with Achilles but wrrry that cliffhanger, did Washington finally leave his palace to pursue Connor? This could be the chance everyone has been waiting for to finally take the King down. By the way, what happened to the Sons of Liberty, Putnam, and Lafayette? Were they all brainwashed as well?

HaythamConnor - Liaisons

(Anonymous) 2013-01-04 09:34 am (UTC)(link)
Haytham admits he's become bored and complacent in his years as the Grand Master without any serious threats to the Order... until a Master Assassin appears to unravel his plans and kills off his agents. Rather than angry and/or annoyed, he's curious and becomes slightly obsessed with the new challenger. Picture lots of steamy encounters that start with fights and bickering, but end with Haytham walking away all smug and Connor is a flustered emotional mess because he never gets the chance to tell Haytham that he is his son... though when Haytham finds out, he doesn't really mind.

FILL 28/? (The one in which Haytham is seriously squicked)

(Anonymous) 2013-01-04 01:08 pm (UTC)(link)
FINALLY, THE BIT YOU'VE ALL BEEN DREADING WAITING FOR! Also, Charles Lee is both more and less of a douchebag than we are used to.

Charles looks vaguely unhappy, as always.

"I think you've gone too far," he says, quietly. Haytham stops sealing the letter he's just written, unsure of what he's just heard.

"Too far? Please elaborate."

"That boy is never going to be fully committed to the Order. Not after what you ordered me to do to him." Charles' expression is stony.

Ah. So Charles is feeling guilty.

"I don't seem to recall you complaining all that much when I gave my orders. By Hickey's account, you seemed to rather enjoy it."

"That is neither here nor there, sir, and not what I wanted to discuss. As your second-in-command, it is my duty to give you my opinion, and I simply wanted to say that I think we have made a mistake."

"Why are you telling me this now? Why not sooner?" Haytham's voice drops to a low, dangerous tone. "Don't you dare try to pull a holier-than-thou act on me, because we both know neither of us are perfect."

Charles' expression wavers slightly, but he regains his composure in moments.

"I... suppose I was being a little impertinent, sir. Please forgive me. I wished only to ensure that everything was going to benefit the Order in the best possible way."

"Excellent," Haytham gives Charles a warm smile, though his frosty tone no doubt conveys his true feelings on the matter. "Now, you need only continue to play your part for a little longer, though thankfully there is no more need for you to... get your hands dirty, as it were. Rest assured, I am pleased with your work thus far. Don't look so despondent, it's for the good of the Order."

...

Connor arrives back at the headquarters a few days later. He's been gone a little less than a month, and hugs Haytham enthusiastically as soon as he sees him.

"I missed you," Connor's voice sounds tired, and he looks it, too.

"And I you."

"I am no longer an Assassin," Connor murmurs, sounding almost sad.

"Oh?" Haytham says, indicating he ought to continue.

"I am not a Templar either, though I am sympathetic to your cause. I, uh... Actually, I wanted to speak with you about some things. Urgently. And privately."

Haytham nods, hardly able to contain his joy. This is going better than he ever expected!

"Of course," he says, in his most comforting tone, and leads him to the drawing room. "It's just about tea time."

They sit and pour tea and Connor seems to be getting more and more agitated by the minute.

"I cannot live here," he blurts. "I want to be with you, certainly, but this place... it makes me feel so trapped and confined, and I do not mind staying a little while, with you, but I cannot live here permanently. I am so sorry."

Haytham gives a soft chuckle.

"Is that why you were so worried?" he pauses, mostly for dramatic effect. "I, ah, actually have a confession to make. I have decieved you a little about the exact purposes of this property. It is the Templar headquarters in the Colonies, yes, and I do stay here often, but it is mostly used for organising and planning, for training new recruits, and also is a temporary shelter for our more unfortunate brethren. Most of us have homes elsewhere, where we spend the majority of our time. I have a home in New York, and it is rare for me to spend more than a week or so at a time here."

Connor reacts with less surprise than Haytham expects.

"Oh. That makes sense, I suppose. You did not say anything before because I was an Assassin, right?" Haytham nods in reply, and Connor continues, evidently feeling something more is expected. "It makes sense. It is clever. I like it."

"I am so, so sorry for the deception," Haytham reaches over and grasps Connor's hands in his own. "Can you forgive me?"

Connor's lips quirk into a small smile. He nods and sips his tea.

"There is nothing to forgive," he says. After a few moments, he starts to speak again. "I hope it is not presumptuous of me to suggest, but I cannot return to Achilles. Not permanently. I had been planning to buy a small house in Monmouth or perhaps Philadelphia, but..."

Connor trails off, and bites his lip. He glances at Haytham in that way that sends shivers down his spine and makes him want.

"You want to live with me? I would be delighted."

The way a surprised smile blossoms across Connor's face is one of the most beautiful things he has seen in a long time. Soon, the tea is forgotten amidst thankful kisses and blissful caresses, which soon develop into things which are outright obscene.

...

Some time later, when they are both breathless and tired, Connor starts talking about how he is going to visit his village before he moves to the New York townhouse, and unrolls his makeshift satchel to show Haytham the beautiful mementos he brought with him. He talks about the villagers at the homestead, but something catches Haytham's eye and he is suddenly unsure about everything.

"These dried flowers are from Prudence, she and her husband have been trying to have a child for a very long time. They are wonderful people, so kind and generous..."

Haytham stares at the necklace. It looks just like the one Ziio wore. She had told him that it was unique, one of a kind. Connor was from the same Native group as Ziio, so perhaps they were also from the same village. But why would she give her most precious possession to a boy she hardly knew?

"Haytham?" Connor asks, sounding worried. "You seem tense. Is everything all right?"

Connor is only half Native. Ziio had broken up with Haytham about eighteen years ago. Connor had asked, when Haytham had been showing him his rooms, had asked about Haytham's family. About if he had children. He can still remember Ziio's sweat-slicked skin and the way her legs wrapped around his own.

He does not want to connect the dots.

"I recognise that necklace," Haytham says, not allowing a single tremor to enter his voice. He feels sick to the stomach, and tries to ignore the lingering taste of Connor's seed in his mouth.

Then Connor says the one thing he does not want to hear.

"It belonged to my mother."

He can't think.

"Her name was Kaniehtí:io, though she sometimes went by Ziio."

It can't be true.

"I know she often spoke with Colonists, perhaps that is where you recognise it from?"

No.

"Haytham?"

No, no, no.

Connor's hand is on his arm, and his son is looking into his eyes with all the concern of a lover, and it takes all the self-control Haytham can muster to try to act normally.

"You said your mother was dead. Murdered."

Ziio is dead. He's just spent the last three months brainwashing her son. His son. They fucked.

"When I was four. So you did know her?"

"Braddock." Haytham says, faintly. He gets up, pulls on his waistcoat and rebuttons his shirt. He had fixed his breeches earlier, after... after Connor had shown his appreciation for being able to stay in his home, and after he had shown Connor exactly how glad he had been to see him.

He'd just sucked his own son's cock.

Oh God.

"Where are you going?" Connor asks. His hair is messy, he is shirtless, and his breeches are still half-undone. Haytham's body relishes the sight, and his mind curses it.

"I... I'm sorry. I need some time to... Ziio and I were close friends, once."

Connor nods, thinking that grief alone is the reason for his strange behaviour. He reaches for his shirt.

"Then I shall get dressed and wait in your room."

Haytham nods, and wonders what he's going to do now.

He runs into Lee almost as soon as he leaves the drawing room, and he drags them both to his study. He may dislike Charles' current attitude, but he needs to talk and Charles will be able to help him plan what to do next.

"Haytham? What is wrong with you?!"

"You were right," Haytham says, unable to hide the tremble in his voice now. He can't stop, now he's started talking. "I went too far and I've made a terrible, terrible mistake. I'm sorry, I should have listened, but I was arrogant and foolish and--"

"I'm glad you've come to your senses, but what on earth are you talking about?"

"He--" Haytham can't make himself say the words. That would make them true. "The boy. He..."

"He... what?" Charles looks exasperated.

Haytham buries his head in his hands and steels himself.

"He's my son."

"I... what?"

"My son. Ziio. She never told me I had a child, and now she's dead and he's my son."

Charles goes silent.

"Does he know?"

"No. He thinks I'm mourning his mother as an old friend."

"You can't tell him, you know. And you can't break up your relationship with him, either. It would ruin all our hard work. Think of the plan."

Haytham grits his teeth. Charles is enjoying this. He can hear the jovial note in his voice.

"You've made your bed, and now you've got to lie in it. But rest assured, the rest of us are all quite pleased with your work so far. You've only got to play your role for... oh, the rest of your life, I should think."

Haytham glares at Charles, who is clearly taking a lot of pleasure in using his own words against him. Charles heads to the door, and looks back, in mock-sympathy.

"Oh, don't look so despondent, sir. It's for the good of the Order." Charles pauses, obviously having difficulty suppressing a smile. "And I won't go telling Connor about your... relationship, sir. Don't worry."

With that, he is gone, and Haytham wants to scream.

Thanks :D I spotted a few mistakes reading over it again, but overall I think the poem flows pretty well.

I briefly thought about trying to end the poem on a happy note to keep more in tune with the game, but then it seems as if you'd lose the entire feeling of the poem. (Besides, tragedy is always more heart-achingly beautiful, is it not?)

I.. I cannot even begin to express what this part made me feel, other than having to stop reading, rereading (more than once), clenched toes and oooh my... Charles you prick! You lovable bastard.

As much as I don't want to, I feel really bad for Haytham, more so because he has to continue their relationship, all the while knowing, unless everything falls apart.

Never before has f5 experienced so much abuse.

Not OP.

I knew. I knew this was coming. I knew from very the beginning, but I was still not prepared for it!
I need the next part.. like I need air, 'cause ever since reading this, it's pretty much been the only thing on my mind!

Beautiful written, and even if Charles is a douchebag, I cannot help but understand his enjoyment of this revelation.

Has writter!Anon written anything else in the AC universe?

I've done a couple of fills on this meme, haven't posted them anywhere else (but will very soon). On this part, I did the doctor who fill, modern Connor vs Haytham's weird patriotic tendancies and a short stefan/connor fill, and one of the other conhayth prompts. On the previous part I did an ezio/yusuf minifill, and suleiman fantasising about ezio. I'm on my phone so I can't give you the links now, but basically this is the longest fanfic I have ever done for any fandom. Ever. So all these kind words mean a LOT to me! <3

In Which Connor Is Sick, And Haytham Makes A Poor Nursemaid

(Anonymous) 2013-01-04 05:23 pm (UTC)(link)
Haytham is startled to find that Connor is surprisingly susceptible to illness. Though maybe it shouldn't be so surprising; after all, he was born and raised in a distant native village, and then later grew up on an isolated homestead populated by very few people. When he starts to travel to major cities, he easily picks up whatever illness that the colonists are passing around.

Connor is used to it, and usually just crawls to the nearest inn and hides out until he's well. When this happens while they're working together, Haytham has an attack of conscience and, much to Connor's displeasure, decides that he can't let Connor weather it alone.

Then he realizes how boring nursing a sick person is. Shenanigans ensue.

Bonus Points:
- Connor is too tired to retort to any of Haytham's snark. Haytham takes advantage of Connor's weakness by annoying and pestering him to his heart's content, with Connor unable to deliver any retribution.
- Haytham attempts to hold conversations with a fever-addled Connor.
- Haytham tells Connor bedtime stories. Connor is not amused.
- Haytham returns one evening drunk, forcing Connor to roll out of bed and attend to him.
- Connor takes a turn, and Haytham finally becomes worried and *GASP* ACTS NICE.

I DON'T KNOW ANONS. I just want a silly h/c. Indulge me, please.

Finally Haytham finds out, can't wait for the guilt to set in... and wow was not expecting Charles to snark back at his beloved Master Kenway, but it's exactly what Haytham deserves.

Re: Citadel 2c/?

(Anonymous) 2013-01-04 06:23 pm (UTC)(link)
this is excellent, a!anon. I am glad I decided to check the older prompts! Are you archiving this anywhere else?

Loved Desmond's idea of 'hiding in plain sight' as a bartender. And that Connor is the first one to find him.

i am wondering how Connor, Altair & Ezio tracked him down in the first place? Wouldn't the assasins have had him buried? If so, and they dug him up... Creepy. :)

Fill!anon, I love you! First, because you filled my crossover prompt, second because this is oh SOOOOOOOO delicious, and third because I LOVE long , epic fills and there are only two right now on this kmeme, and they are both amazing, and three, because this kind of mindfuckery deserves SO MUCH LOVE, and fourth, because I REALLY REALLY LOVE CHARLES REACTION, and fifth because there cannot be enough ways to show love for this, and sixth because POOR CONNOR, you are FUCKING DADDY DEAREST and don't know it, and seventh because HAYTHAM YOU ARE FUCKING YOUR OWN SON, and you DO know it...

I could go on and on, but you get the point. I wonder how Haytham is gonna deal with Connor's ''affections", now that he knows, OH GOD.

I will be here, sitting on my f5 key, forevahs.., <3

I'm going to start archiving it on my AO3 account soon. As for Desmond being buried... in my headcanon for this, the modern assassins got there after his ancestors, and have no idea what happened to his body.
I'm glad you enjoy!
