Re: Fill (2/?)

(Anonymous) 2012-11-11 09:44 pm (UTC)(link)
Anon, this is such a cruel spot for a cliffhanger! :D
I truly enjoy this fill and I love how in character you have them both. Grand Sassmaster Haytham Kenway is at it again! Lovely!

Also, now I'm really curious about that time Haytham had Connor bent over his desk. Would you be willing to tell that story too? Please?

Re: Haytham/Connor hurt comfort

(Anonymous) 2012-11-11 09:45 pm (UTC)(link)
I have a terrible, terrible need for this. Seconded with the force of all my shame.

A!A

(Anonymous) 2012-11-11 10:08 pm (UTC)(link)
By cruel you mean best, I'm sure. ;D And Grandsassmaster Haytham Kenway is my favorite. Connor tries to grit his teeth and bear it but Haytham always gets under his skin.

About that... Probably? I have a lot of essays to write but I could probably squeeze something in between. Not sure when or how long it would take me but it's very likely we'll see Connor bent over the desk. :D

ugh i feel guilty for wanting this, but seconding so hard.

Re: Oh god, this probably isn't exactly what you wanted but kinda fill...?

(Anonymous) 2012-11-11 10:10 pm (UTC)(link)
I loved this! It made me laugh. :D

Re: A!A

(Anonymous) 2012-11-11 10:17 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, the best spot for a cliffhanger is the most cruel spot too, so the two aren't mutually exclusive, anon. :D And in your story's case, definitely not mutually exclusive. HEHHEHEHEHE

Also, this reminds me of poor Danny Wallace's comments about "Italian Homoerotic Essays" when he found out about all the Desmond/Shaun slash fanfiction. XD

And I certainly hope you'll find the time and inspiration to write that backstory, although the current story is extremely satisfying in on its own. :D

A novel crossover.

(Anonymous) 2012-11-11 10:58 pm (UTC)(link)
Danny Wallace, Shaun's VA and a hilarious writer, has penned a number of mostly-autobiographical comedy novels. I challenge you to take a couple of plot points from one of these books, shove in AC characters of your choice, and let insanity commence.

Take 'Are You Dave Gorman?', for example. Maybe Desmond decides he needs to apologise to all the people sharing his name in the world for what Abstergo did when trying to find him, and drags his (slightly) saner friends along for the ride. For 'Join Me' perhaps Ezio accidentally starts a cult based around him and the Apple?

A New Perspective (1/1)

I hope you enjoy this quick fill!!

---

'Oh I'm sorry, would you like me to come along? Hold your hand perhaps? Provide kind words of encouragement?'

Connor huffed.

Merely over twelve hours after meeting his father have just passed, Connor had firmly established an infinitely brewing animosity towards the man. The Englishman was horribly conceited, insultingly sarcastic, and unbearably obstinate—traits that ate away at the native's already scarce patience. Not only was his personality intolerable, but in addition he seemed to lack any resolve to help his temporary trustee, his son, and albeit they were still enemies, the entirety of the definition of "truce" barely came into play unless it benefitted his father's self-interests.

First he was rudely ounces on by his own father from the ceiling of a church, and now here Connor was, plotting to mug and rob a poor off-duty officer of his clothing in winter weather while his own father would sit and relax in waiting.

How ridiculous, the native thought, gritting his teeth.

But nonetheless, compromises must be made to achieve goals. And then Connor struck, whistling to the man off duty near the corner of the city's alleyways, quickly silencing him with a firmed fist to the neck, and proceeded to strip the officer of his garments. And with his luck, the breeches were too tight, the coat barely held together to adjust to his broad shoulder length, and the crotch area was so poorly knitted that the seams were nearly tearing apart, prior to Connor even donning the outfit.

His father would never be forgiven for this, this… humiliation.

Connor promptly returned to the alley in which he promised to meet his father, ready to encounter a snarky remark from the man for how ridiculous he looked and preparing a comeback to counteract it. He stomped, turned the corner, and then—

There was Haytham Kenway, the Grand Master of the oppressive Templars—his father, he—

He was feeding chickens. Not just chickens, but dogs and kittens, and some pigeons, and…

Good lord, he giggled.

Connor deadpanned at his father's expression, one of a softer, kinder look in juxtaposition to the painful hours he had spent with him. And he was smiling and laughing as the dog nipped at his fingers, barking merrily and wagging its tail. Haytham leaned down on one knee to scratch the kitten's ears with one hand, while humming, while the other was occupied with gratuitous amounts of food. He kept grabbing from his back pocket handfuls of food, as if his breeches were a manufacturing center of animal feed.

Individuals tending gently to animals was a comforting and relatable image; Connor fed animals throughout all his visits to Boston and New York and got much enjoyment out of it, but it was normal since he saw himself as generally good-natured, but this…

This was just wrong, outright disturbing, and obscene.

But Connor could not help but smile. He felt a warmth growing in his chest, constructing sentiment towards the man who he, just moments ago, saw as a primary enemy and a target doomed for assassination by his hands. But he couldn't help that feeling; it almost reminded him of his mother—

Haytham promptly turned around when his son tried to quietly approach another angle to look at his expression. The older man cleared his throat and dusted off the massive amounts of accumulated animal feed that wove itself into his breeches.

"You certainly appear… interesting, in that apparel, Connor. Say that of a grown man who tried to wear a toddler's outfit. Needless to say, it's rather charming on you," scoffed his father, smirking and laughing down upon his son.

An obvious cover-up.

Connor would have retorted, were it not for the fact he was resisting to laugh from the fact that all the animals flocked around him, begging for more affection. Haytham tried to dismiss them and their existence, pushing the animals away gently with his leg and arm, but the animals only clung more to his boots and cape. There was an undenyable flush in his father's cheeks, but Connor said nothing upon the matter as they both headed to the warehouse while stifling a chuckle.

Maybe his father was not such a bad man as Connor had thought.

Haytham wins the fight at the end of sequence 11 instead of Connor. And while he believes he did what he had to do, he still somewhat grieves for his son. Charles comforts him.

Not!OP here to say that this was every bit as cute as I hoped it would be when the prompt first came up. Even moreso, if that's possible.

Aww, that was adorable!

Also:

...as if his breeches were a manufacturing center of animal feed

this gave me the most peculiar and hilarious mental image I've had in a week. You don't want to know where the animal feed was coming out of. *sporfle*

something inspired by "Imagine your OTP staying in a cabin in the middle of the woods together. They decided to go on a nice hike in the woods but it started to rain and they both got soaking wet. Once they arrived inside they meant to just take a shower together to rinse the mud off themselves but they ended up making love in front of the fireplace." ?

XD Oh gosh! Adorable~ Now I want to see Haytham getting exasperated and showing him what they meant <3

Assassins don't have use for biology, eh? Sheesh, what has Achilles been teaching you then? XD

OP Anon here!

(Anonymous) 2012-11-12 03:02 am (UTC)(link)
If it's okay with OP, can this anon makes it Norris and Myriam who both love Connor?

There is a bit plot bunny in my head, but of course if someone else wants to take this, then by all means!

Re: Oh god, this probably isn't exactly what you wanted but kinda fill...?

(Anonymous) 2012-11-12 05:22 am (UTC)(link)
Oh wow this was so cute and funny. I love how Haytham didn't want to explain. 'Nope, I'm not going to give his the birds and bees. Achilles can do that.' Such a nice father. And Connor's though process was priceless. You are a genius.

Re: Haytham re-converting

(Anonymous) 2012-11-12 05:30 am (UTC)(link)
It might take a while... and I mean a loooong while. I'm going to play through all the Haytham missions first.
