Re: Discovering Charles - Chapter 2

Although I feel horrible for poor moth!Connor... /nosebleeds/ Oh angsty porn, how I've missed you! Seriously, you've made my day... /sits in a drool puddle/

But I lovelovelove the return of Connor's resolve... just knowing something is fighting for him is making a world of difference. Though, it's really going to be a shock when he learns it's another Charles Lee.

At least when he wakes, I hope things will be different and improved... though I doubt Charles can let Connor leave without alerting the Templars, I'm sure he'll do what he can to make Connor and little!Haytham's life much more pleasant.

Succubus indeed! Oh Connor, such a temptation. :) I don't know how Charles manages to resist you.

I'm sure it took all of Charles' willpower, and probably the threat of Haytham's wrath if he ignored Davies and made his condition worse. Also, Charles totally believes Connor will make things up to him when he's better (and that's how lil!Haytham comes into the world).

I love how playful and teasing Connor is here. It seems like being around Charles is helping him mend better than anything else.

Yeah, being with Charles - a man who loves him unconditionally - certainly has helped him heal. Also, being a proud wolf - Connor tries to conceal his pain and his wounds even from his loved ones.

Hey, thank you google translate! Heh, I also loved Lafayette - who I wished was in the game more than a few sequences towards the end. Though I LOL'd when he appeared to kiss Connor on the cheek, and Connor was like "GET AWAY!"

He and Connor will definitely be friends in this story, much to Charles' displeasure of yet another Alpha being too friendly with his wife.

They had met in the autumn season of 1773. When the air was crisp and cool, but refreshing compared to the crowded cities he had left behind. The sun's warming rays rake through the foliage of the forests, making the leaves sparkle like precious jewels upon the wind. Gleaming in gold, and orange, and red...

The sound of blades clashing, ringing, destroys the calm tranquility. The disturbance builds with the addition of angry shouts and musket fire. A few minutes later, there is a brief cry of distress that is immediately cut short, followed by the sound of a lifeless body hitting the forest floor with a heavy thud.

Silence reigns once more, peppered by the quiet rhythm of the victorious warrior's steady breath. He lowers his sword, its blade wet with dark crimson, before turning his attention to the only living person close to him. A young man, barely more than a young boy, a handsome Omega - whom a group of soldiers thought to sully in the woods.

The cry for help did not go unanswered as a Wolf sprang forward and viciously tear into the unsuspecting group of men. He feels no remorse, those vile scum deserved their fate for attacking an innocent civilian. Innocent, yes, but not defenseless. The Wolf's amber-brown eyes regard him cautiously at first as the other has yet to relinquish a white-knuckled grasp upon a smoking rifle that shot one of his distracted attackers dead.

"Are you injured?" he asks in concern while sheathing his weapon, before offering his hand out to the stunned youth who had remained seated on the ground.

Youthful blue eyes blink owlishly back at him, a mouth opens but words seemed trapped in his throat. He understands, having once been in such a frighteningly similar situation himself as a helpless child... except that no one ever risked their own lives to help him. No one would take justice on a half-native Omega's behalf.

The young man shakes his head in response, before taking his hand and is pulled to his feet.

"N-No sir," the Omega finally spoke as spoke, his voice wavering slightly from the ordeal. "Th-Thank you for coming to my aid... if you hadn't..."

He nodded in understanding, knowing full well what these Alphas had intended on doing.

"I am glad that you are all right. If you are traveling with anyone, it is best that you return to them."

The wilderness was no place for an Omega to wander alone, was his first thought before inwardly sneered at himself. This young man handled himself well with a rifle, but had been too overwhelmed by a group of heavily armed soldiers. It was incredibly lucky, that they had not done any severe damage to their prey.

"I'm alone," the boy admitted much to the other's surprise. "Was hunting, you see, but the soldiers were close by when they heard my rifle. That's how they found me."

"Where did you learn to shoot like you do?"

Blue eyes blinked back in surprise before their owner responded quickly. "Ranging with my dad and brothers in Virginia country. My family's been surveying and prospecting out there since my grand-pappy."

His savior couldn't help but eye the number of small game that lay in a discarded pile upon the ground. Although the hunter preferred hunting with a bow, he couldn't help but admire the other's work. A sharpshooter no doubt, to have such clean kills.

"You are very good."

The sharpshooter glowed with pride.

"I can pop a muskrat's head from a quarter mile nine times outta ten– and the ten's a misfire..." he stopped abruptly and blushed in embarrassment for suddenly rambling off. Realizing he had not properly introduced himself, the boy quickly wiped his sweaty hand on his pant leg before holding it out in front of him. "Name's Clipper Wilkinson, at your service."

"Your skill speaks for itself," the Wolf mused before smiling as he shook the offered hand. "Connor Kenway, pleased to meet you."

A/N: And Loyalty might be longer than I thought, thanks to Clipper just being adorable.

What a start to a great friendship! The two Omegas. Alike in more ways than one.

Discovering Charles

Chapter 3

Connor woke on a Tuesday.

He woke, and the world had changed to one he did not know.

How could that man...that loathsome man...be...

Connor chanced a furtive look at the brooding form of the man who he had thought his ally.

The moustache, the coat, the look of furrowed concentration. It was all the same.

Connor huddled back upon his bed, that stifling bed that now seemed so welcoming.

It could not be. It could not be that the man who saved him was--

"Master Lee."

The maid Mary walked in, a frown on her weathered face.

"It is unbecoming of you to sulk. You ought to be pleased that things turned out as you had hoped. To sit there because Doctor White warned you against too much vigorous activity with your wife--"

And here, both she and Connor coloured.

"--he will gain his strength soon and for a grown man such as yourself to stay in such a mood because of such a trifling thing is shameful."

For most other people, Connor would have warned them away from such an approach. Charles Lee was not a man to be gainsaid, and he was most cross with those who would stand against him.

Except Mary was his head maid and someone he knew and respected for many a year. Even in the short time that Connor had unwillingly come to live with him, he knew him to be lenient with Mary and Ronald and to heed their advice as he heeded no one else's, save that of Connor's father.

Ah, but this was not the Charles Lee that Connor knew, was he? As he found out when a panicking Doctor White held him back from attempting to throw himself at that loathesome wretch, this man only had the shape and form of Connor's husband.

They were not, in actuality, the same person.

It weighed heavily on Connor ever since, and he could not stop the prickle of unease that crawled up his spine at the sight of the man. Doctor White tried his best to be between them at all times, though Connor did not know why. It was not as if he had regained the strength to actually pose a threat to the man.

And...likeness aside, he owed the man his freedom, it seemed.

The man who looked to be a twin of his husband glanced at Mary.

"You worry overmuch. I am quite at ease and only desire rest."

Connor bit his lip. The voice, the manner, everything about him seemed to indicate that he was Connor's husband. That he was the man Connor had tried to escape for the better part of a year before succumbing to his senseless condition. How could he be different?

What was this nonsense of another world, of a Charles Lee that was not the Charles Lee that Connor loathed?

"Sir--"

"Enough Mary. Enough." Harshly said at first, but followed with a softening of the voice. Exactly as Connor's husband would have said it to the matronly Mary.

"As you wish sir."

Mary turned on her heels and left them in silence.

Connor chanced another look at the confusing man left in the room with him.

Dark brows were furrowed, that face looked tired and drawn, dark bags had formed underneath the eyes.

Despite himself, Connor could understand why Mary the maid felt such concern over her master.

...over the man who appeared to be her master, Connor corrected.

The man looked worried and ill. Definitely not in good health and definitely--

"May I ask for what reason you are staring at me?"

Gray-blue eyes stared at him, and Connor fidgeted where he sat in his bed.

Ah, so the man had noticed his puzzling looks.

"I--"

Connor trailed off.

If the man truly was different, was a stranger...then what could Connor say to him?

What should Connor say to him?

"I thank you for everything you have done."

Ah, at last Connor is fully awake and knows that the Charles before him is not his husband. Wow. I'm so very curious on what's going to happen next. How will FW!Charles and Connor go on pretending to be husband and wife in front of the servants, and of course any potential Templar visits.

Heh, thanks anon. Planning on finishing up the Honey Moon series, but the crossovers have caught me in a hold. Kind of imagined FW!Connor is transported into the body of Assassin!Connor shortly after the Boston Tea Party. And he's faced with the same dilemma of uniting the Order and the Brotherhood... while trying to win over Charles who hates him. Cue one sided-love angsty!porn... oh Connor, why am I so mean to you?

A/N: More flashbacks ahoy.

It was nice to finally have someone watch his back during these Templar missions when he always outnumbered. After months of training, Clipper learned hold his own quite well with a sword and dagger; though, his apprentice was obviously more proficient in being a sniper. Connor had also trained him how to move about the trees for higher vantage points when there were little to no buildings in the area.

Although it wasn't easy at first as there were bound to be mishaps, too many to count. Poor Clipper suffered more bruising in losing his balance or grip on a branch, than he ever did to combat. This never deterred his apprentice, who would pick himself off the ground to resume his lessons. Connor knew he wasn't the teacher his father was, but remained an ever patient and encouraging mentor.

Perseverance eventually paid off in the end. The apprentice still couldn't match strides evenly with the Wolf, but Clipper was able to utilize his newly honed skilled to keep up. Pride surged deep within Connor as he watched his student, who went from tumbling out of trees, to swinging and leaping from branch to branch with a sinuous grace.

"What kept you from giving up?" Connor had asked him when they had completed the mission, leaving a fort set ablaze far behind them.

"You, sir," Clipper responded when they finally stopped running and made their way back to camp. "You've been really patient with me. It was because of that patience and encouraging that I was able to progress as much as I have. I didn't want to disappoint you."

"I would not have been..."

"All these missions... you aren't doing them for the reward are you?" Blue eyes suddenly met his, and stared at him knowingly before glancing down at the silver band around his finger. "It's your calling, isn't it?"

Connor froze. He suddenly felt uneasy with the sharpshooter. His vocation was supposed to remain a secret to outsiders. No one could know that he was a Templar.

"I... " Clipper hesitated briefly before meeting the Wolf's amber gaze with newfound conviction. "I want to be like you someday."

It was the most heart warming complement Connor has ever received.

Much later that night, when the younger Omega had was deeply asleep, Connor began to write. He kept the message brief, as he didn't want to wake Clipper to the sound of his quill scratching against paper. Also, he had a feeling the recipient wouldn't appreciate a long missive that came between him and his tankard of beer...

The young Templar shook his head in amusement, still wondering how Master Johnson could put up with such a friend and colleague, before sealing his message with the Order's mark.

---

"I must commend you."

Connor blinked in surprise before raising his head to meet with his superior's gaze.

"For what, Master Lee?"

The General nodded towards an open window when thunderous sound of gunfire fire resounded from the outside courtyard. It was at this time of day, that the sharpshooters were practicing their skills. But without question that a young Clipper Wilkinson was a cut above the rest.

"I merely found him," Connor shrugged. "His progress within the Order is a result of his talents, hard work and dedication."

"As always, you downplay your part." He heard the Alpha Templar scoff and the sound of a chair moving across the floor as its occupant stood. "Although he is still a new recruit, his new-found loyalty is quite admirable and refreshing. But I would like to bestow some words my mentor had given to me when I had begun introducing members."

A large hand fell upon his shoulder, causing Connor to turn his head away from the assembled sharpshooters outsides, towards those blue eyes that always seemed to hold a whirlpool of emotion over the years, ranging from dislike to a mild fondness.

"True loyalty inspires hope and prosperity, it takes many a year to build..."

---

"And mere seconds to destroy."

Connor knew he had done just that. The moment the dagger sailed from his hand, slicing the unraveling noose to fee the Assassin, was him cutting his ties to the Templars. The look Charles had given him in that moment that contained so much emotion - disbelief, hurt, anger, distrust, hatred - was one that would haunt the Omega.

Though he had freed Kanen'tó:kon from his noose, the once Templar felt the invisible one around him gradually tighten. Naturally, he fought against it. Connor returned to the life he had thought to have left behind. Except the streets were no longer safe to live in, and he had no choice but to sneak around like a rat - funny, since that was the nickname given to him by the orphans as a child.

He was so hungry. The fruit he managed to steal did not last long in his stomach as he was ever in motion to evade the many that pursued him. Although it was fitting, he didn't want to die like this.

The starving Wolf would have though, had it not been for the Omega he had saved long ago.

"You were at the execution..." Connor said after devouring the food his former pupil had brought to him along with many essential things he would need to flee the city. "But you did not try to kill me..."

Although he was fast, the sharpshooter could have hit him easily, probably not kill him right away, but shot one of his limbs and let him bleed to death on the streets.

Clipper stared at him in horrified shock. "I... I would never do that!"

"Why? The Order sees me as a traitor now. You will be punished if they were to learn..."

"I don't care!"

Amber-brown eyes widened at the unexpected angry shout.

"I..." Clipper began hesitantly as he stared down at his ring. "I love James and wish to serve the Templars but... first and foremost, my allegiance lies with you."

A/N: Pretty short, but not back to the present.

If Clipper was good before with a rifle when they had met, the Templar sharpshooter was absolutely deadly now. At first Connor had thought he himself had been lacking in momentum due to his pregnancy and miscarriage; however, after taking down Church's men alongside Kanen'tó:kon, he knew that simply wasn't the case. Clipper had used the time they were apart to have gotten better, and Connor had failed to see such skill back at West Point.

Quick and agile, he was able to match strides evenly with his former mentor. He knew how to move about in the frontier, how to balance on fallen timber and leap from tree to tree without slipping on the chilled bark, as they snuck up on a suspicious group near to where their second convoy had been pinned down.

After using his second sight to mark their enemies, his recruit effortlessly finished with headshots. Those who didn't fall to his rifle, met their brutal end at the blade of a saber. Connor recognized the strokes of his sword; artful, deliberate, regal, powerful...

He remembered them from his own lessons from his father.

When the last enemy fell, Clipper turned to face him and saw the questioning look in his eyes. He averted his gaze, sheathing his sword after wiping its blade clean on the back of a dead body. The brunet then pulled out his rifle and began to reload, as if expecting trouble at any moment.

"Like you, the Grandmaster saw potential in me," he answered Connor's unspoken question with a hint of pride in his voice. "He took me under his wing after we thought we lost you that first time. I trained the newer recruits, but also took on dodgy missions so I could..."

"Replace me," Connor finished and regretted the bitterness in his tone. He had no right to feel jealous. Killing a fellow Templar and saving a Master Assassin, by his own hand he had botched up two of their Order's plans one after another. "I am sorry. I did not mean to imply anything... is Master Collins all right with this?"

What did Clipper's husband think of his wife's dangerous exploits, of always being in the line of fire in both the wars that the Templars had their hands in?

"James..." the sharpshooter hesitated but his slumped shoulders spoke volumes. "He thought that after we were married, that I'd be home more often. I mean, he understands. After all, the Order has to come first."

Connor stared at his friend's back for a long moment.

He never expected Clipper to sound so much like his father. He wasn't sure what to say. He wasn't sure if he agreed. Connor had risked his life for the Order plenty of times, but to put it over his own husband... his own family?

"We ought to keep going, sir," Clipper spoke after a brief but uncomfortable silence. "Convoy should be close, and there's bound to be more trouble up ahead."

With that, the sharpshooter clambered up into the trees, giving Connor no choice but to follow.

There's something absolutely adorable about Clipper. I <3 his loyalty and devotion to Connor. It is remarkable and truly inspiring...and just a bit sad how Connor would think that Clipper would have shot him.

Oh Connor...don't you know how deep Clipper's loyalty runs? :)

Re: One-shot:: Loyalty 3d/5

(Anonymous) 2013-11-11 03:51 am (UTC)(link)
Wow. So for Clipper, it goes Connor, then the Order, then his family? Rough on poor James. But I guess it works out since they are both in the Order. It would be unbearable if they ever ended up on the wrong side of that equation.

Loving the dynamic tension here as Connor realizes just what his loyalties might mean. The Order or his family. Aligned at the moment, but a part of me wonders if that last fatal choice he made didn't come out of this realization?

Re: One-shot:: Loyalty 3c/5

Well, Connor thought he had betrayed everyone when freeing Kanen, and of course try to hunt him down and kill him. When Clipper didn't shoot him during the chaos, he took a chance to obtain his help to get him out of the city.

Re: One-shot:: Loyalty 3d/5

(Anonymous) 2013-11-11 10:19 pm (UTC)(link)
Clipper always stood out to me more than the other recruits as Connor's apprentice, just with the few conversations you have with him.

In this story, Clipper sees Connor as everything he wants to be as an Omega who is strong, powerful, intelligent, and independent. Then there's his love for James, who was the only reason he had not followed his mentor into exile. Their marriage had been strained due to the conflicting loyalties when Connor had gone against the Templars. Realizing that Connor may never return to them, Haytham saw potential in his son's apprentice and took Clipper as a pupil, thus strengthening his ties to the Order and then his husband.

So the loyalty list had gone from: Connor, The Order, and James; to The Order, James, and Connor. Yeah Connor is still high on the list despite many other Templars (like the Church family) who scorned Connor for being a traitor and a deserter.

Ugh, why do I feel like this story is going to branch off and have multiple side stories?

A/N: Sorry for the shortness and the delay, I ended up caving and bought AC4... the whole pirating really sucks you. I've conquered most of the world map and still in sequence 5.

Clipper had been correct about there being trouble up ahead. Their convoy had been pinned down by several Redcoats and both sides were opening fire upon each other. Immediately his eagle eyes spotted two heavy set Grenadiers and noticed one of them reaching into his pack, most likely for something that would do more lethal damage than musket fire.

He exchange a brief glance with the sharpshooter, who gave him a nod of affirmation, before proceeding on his own. His targets never heard him approach from above them. It was only when some fallen snow from the branch he had crouched on, had fallen onto one of the soldier's shoulder, did the man look up.

Eyes widened in horror, a mouth opened to call out in warning...

But the only noise the unfortunate soldier could make was a gurgle as Connor dived in for the kill, his hidden blades piercing two targets at the same time. The impact of his victims' bodies hitting the snow-covered ground with a heavy thud, quickly alerted the others.

"Ambush!" one of the officers yelled as the Redcoats at the man's side quickly aimed their muskets at the intruder. The Wolf immediately took cover behind the tree he had been perched in, grasping his own flintlock as he waited for...

BANG!

Several shots rang out afterwards as the Templar sharpshooter was quick to reload and bring down as many Redcoats as he could. Connor waited until the shouts and wounded cries lessened to only a few individuals before he took a step forward, took aim...

...And froze when a large hand caught hold of his wrist in crushing grip. The redcoat officer sneered at him, before driving his fist towards Connor's temple. Though dazed, he struggled to remain upright as the grip around his hand was suddenly gone. It only took a few seconds for him to react upon seeing the soldier unsheathe his sword.

Vertigo overcame the Omega as he moved to retreat back a few steps, but a hard backhand to the face, sent him tumbling down a hill. He tasted his own blood as he lay face down in the snow. The painful sting of ice against an open wound, immediately brought him out of his daze.

He heard the sound of footsteps approaching even with the exchange of gunfire resounding in the air. Digging his fingers into the ground, the Wolf struggled to raise himself up. His heart pounded loudly in his ears as he rolled to the side, avoiding the blade that stabbed into the ground where he had laid moments ago.

Pulling out his second flintlock, he fired a round at his enemy. The smell of blood wafted through the air. He heard the stagger of footsteps, but to his dismay, the body those booted feet belonged to remained upright.

Damn... he had missed.

He tried to reach for his first flintlock that lay discarded in the snow after his tumble, and grunted in pain as a foot stomped onto shoulder, pinning him firmly to the ground. The Wolf growled as he glared passed the barrel of a pistol and up into the British officer's gloating face. Before his life had a chance to flash before him, his hunter's eyes immediately spotted a flash of white cloth shades darker than the snow.

Suddenly his attacker began to gag, both hands flying towards his throat. Connor blinked in surprise as the weight pinning him was suddenly gone. He sat up immediately, spotting those familiar black boots hanging a couple of feet up off the ground. Hanging suspended in a tree, the officer stared lifelessly back down at him.

"It looks like you have saved me yet again, Kanen'tó:kon..."

The Assassin stepped around the hanging corpse, and Connor tensed when his childhood friend unsheathed a hidden blade.

"If only," Kanen'tó:kon spoke softly with a regretful yet determined look upon his face. "If only I could save you from yourself."

No worriess anon. It should be me apologizing. I got caught up in the new games myself.

But OMG, I love this update! I always adored Kanen, but you really make me <3 him. Even with only a single line, you can feel his regret. And it's a beautiful contrast against Connor. Connor, desperate, full of energy and struggling against his enemy...and Kanen, sorrowful, with a dark heavy air about him.

It's very beautiful.

It's also strangely appropriate that the redcoat die by that tree maneuver. Loved that in the game!

Discovering Charles - Chapter 4

(Anonymous) 2013-11-16 04:51 am (UTC)(link)
Discovering Charles

Chapter 4

The Alpha stared at him for a moment, then looked away. Connor could see him swallow heavily, as if a large mass rested in his throat.

"No need," the man whispered. "There is no need. He had clearly been twisted into something unforgivable. That we could have been the same person is already a great shame to me, and I would have done the same had it been any other person lying there."

Despite his doubts, Connor nodded. What did it matter if it was true or not? The only truth Connor needed to know was that this man was not his husband.

"And yet, I find that I must thank you nonetheless. The fact that it does not make a difference who had been in this situation does not change that I benefited from your aid."

Connor bowed his head.

"I thank you."

When he lifted his head, he found the Alpha staring bitterly at him.

"I have your thanks. I have the thanks of the spirit who brought me here. And yet I am still left in this world, and I can still not find my way back to my son."

Connor flinched.

It made him feel guilty, for his freedom from that man who forced himself on him, for the new hope he found in his awakening. The knowledge that it was to save him that the Alpha before him was torn from a family that loved him, from a group of comrades who respected him, from a country that honored him...

Well, it laid heavy on the Omega.

"If I could," Connor whispered, "I would send you back."

The man snorted.

"Your world would suffer for it. What would your father do, with no version of me to control this nation and guard you? What would the Templars in this new nation do with an aging Grandmaster and a disappeared Grandmaster-to-be?"

Connor shook his head.

"What can they do that they have not already done? My comrades are scattered or dead, the nation is already in their control."

His hands clawed the bed-sheets and bile filled his throat. "There is no more harm that they can do. Nothing more that they can do to me or mine that they have not already done."

The Alpha rose abruptly and came to loom over Connor. A hand gently took his as the man sank next to Connor in the bed. Cold gray-blue eyes stared into his.

"You are not that naive."

Connor tore his hand away.

"It is not naivete, but a simple statement of fact--"

"Do you believe that such men would allow you to go free?"

Connor gulped.

"I did not dare think it."

"But you hoped, did you not?"

Connor looked away from that disconcerting gaze.

"It is not only that they would not have let you go, they would not even have let you alone. You would be married off again, until the Haytham Kenway in this world is satisfied."

How strange to think of it that way. How strange to find such an evil description of the man who was Connor's father from the man who had been his student in another world.

"I have no love for my father, but he cannot be so evil as to actually prostitute me."

A sigh.

"It would not be prostitution to him."

A gentle hand took a hold of his chin and turned his face back.

"You do not truly understand Haytham Kenway the way I do. He wants what is best for the Order at all times and, if he has any sentiment of feeling for you, he will want to secure your protection. And, my dear Omega, he would not consider allowing you to be in your own devices to be protected."

The hand left him, the man turned away from him.

"It is an academic argument, besides. There is no way for me back, and so I must stay in my counterpart's place."

The Alpha rose from the bed and made to leave.

"Wait. Please wait."

The man stood where he was, just a few paces from the door. He did not go further but neither did he turn to face Connor.

"For what it is worth, I am sorry."

Connor could see the broad shoulders stiffen.

Then, "for what it's worth, I, too, am sorry."

The Alpha turned to face him again, and those gray-blue eyes were sad and tired.

"For my safety here, for the chance of my discovering a way to return and right the wrongs I had wrought in my own world before I left, I cannot set you free from this place."

Connor suddenly found that he could not breathe.

"You mean--?"

"Yes. I must be as your husband was to you."

Then he turned around and grasped a hold of the door.

"I am sorry."

It's going slowly, I'm afraid. A lot of convo on either side...but that should wrap up soon. :) Still not sure about the Templar visits. Haytham might be very hard to write here. I am not actually sure how he would act in this strange, strange situation.

"You do not truly understand Haytham Kenway the way I do. He wants what is best for the Order at all times and, if he has any sentiment of feeling for you, he will want to secure your protection. And, my dear Omega, he would not consider allowing you to be in your own devices to be protected."

Wow, that description of Haytham... was just... wow. Charles truly knows his mentor, even if it's a different version of him.

I love how affectionate Charles is. It must be hard for him, to be around someone who looks a lot like the wife he had lost. Poor Connor, though. To believe he's finally free only to be trapped in a marriage with another Charles Lee... though of course it won't be as horrid. If FW!Charles is a lot like his IPOH!counter-part, he'll try to remain faithful to the memory of his wife ;_;

Ah, I figure he would want to pop in at least to see Connor who is awake, and maybe to make sure Charles is still Charles and not his "identical cousin" that Davies probably told him about.

Hee thanks anon. Yeah, I loved those rope-darts, especially when hanging enemies or pulling them towards you. Though I bet Templar!Connor is all like "I want that to!"
