Culinary Experiences

Connor, due to the fact that he grew up there, enjoys and loves the food his people make. His personal preference is always food that reminds him of home.

But when he leaves to train under Achilles, he also meets a different kind of cuisine and it's so new and varied and Connor, when not busy with missions, hits the taverns/inns not to drink but to eat and try as many different meals as possible. Maybe some taste horrid, some are merely okay while he seriously considers kidnapping the chef for others.

Just make Connor come into contact with foreign food and being seriously intrigued by it! :)

Bonus points for Stephane or Lafayette introducing Connor to the French cuisine either by cooking it themselves or introducing him to the right chef and Connor really, really loving French food (even if it comes in weird tiny portions and he has to keep asking for seconds. And thirds.)

Hi, author anon here. Thank you so much for commenting ! I’m always so happy to know that people enjoy my writing.

Regarding the lack of banter, I know that’s a problem. Most of this fic pretty much writes itself, which is why I can update quickly, but when Haytham and Connor start talking, I get stuck, so I try to work around it. The end of part 4 took me hours to write because of this, and it’s still the part I hate the most. I’ll try to do what I can, but this probably will never be the best fill for that.

During the Braddock Expedition, Haytham mentions how Charles "has a way with words – especially when it comes to flattery", so I'm guessing he must have fallen for Charles' charm before at some point.

Please give me Charles talking his way into Haytham's pants – or maybe they're already mid-hookup and Charles realizes how talking during sex is pushing all of Haytham's buttons

This is the second author anon here! My fill is turning out to be mostly psychological torture and emotional manipulation on Haytham's part, with the inner circle of Colonial Templars helping out with some physical torture along the way. Is this all right, OP? I don't want to post something here that's totally different than what you had in mind... >_<

This. This. A thousand times this. ESPECIALLY if Connor still winds up devoting himself to the Assassin's cause. The thought that he would deliberately choose to estrange himself from a version of Haytham that actually did his damndest to be a supportive father hits all my tear-inducing tragedy buttons.

Sorry, I worded that wrongly- there is noncon, I was just worried because the fill is more about the psychological and emotional breaking/converting of connor than the physical. And also the prompt seemed to focus more on Haytham getting his hands dirty with physical torture but for several reasons the fill is heading more toward a group effort masterminded by Haytham...

Anyway I'll post the first part soon. :)
