After Ziio's death someone informs Haytham she perished and that he has a son. He takes the boy in, but trying to be his father is much easier said than done. Apart from Connor suffering from culture shock he is also deeply traumatized and distrustful and Haytham's caustic, snarky personality really doesn't help matters at all. However, I'd really like a happy ending this time around, with both of them warming up to the other and eventually becoming very close. Bonus points for Haytham tucking Connor in bed at some point and even telling him a story before he falls asleep.
