I don't know if it was intentional, but I like how much sense it makes that Mohawk-raised Ratonhnhaké:ton would be easily taken in by that. Like, a Colonist might well be all "Well, he prefers men, but that doesn't mean he wouldn't feel pressured to sleep with women now and then to keep up appearances". But Connor's background wouldn't have him thinking that, probably, since he's from a culture where that pressure wouldn't really be... there, unless his village was Christianized.
