Omg my washcon feels /clutches chest/ I hope George manages to get away safely, but maybe this could be the break the Templars are waiting for to put Charles at the head of the Continental forces somehow. But, do the assassins know that Connor has been moved to Haytham's home?

The Assassins were worried that the Templars would take advantage of this so George was instructed only to tell the high-ranking officers. They made sure that none of the high-ranking officers (besides Charles who hasn't officially made his return) are Templars, and George swore them to secrecy.

The Assassins also know that Connor has been moved (partly why it took them so long to get back to George), but the presence of Gerhard and Frederico makes extracting him very difficult.
