“Do not worry my dearest brother.” Kader cooed and petted Malik softly as any caring mother would her child, kissing him lightly on his forehead, his temple, his shut eyes, calming him down a little.
“You do not have to kill me. I am already dead.” Malik screamed into his brother’s chest, his cries muffled by the fabric as Kader held him tighter. He prayed, truly asked his God, that Altair never made it back. He prayed that on his rush back to Masyaf he fell off his horse and broke his neck and never got the chance to tell Al Mualim of the brothers’ deaths and failed mission.
