I'm a sucker for "Ezio and his assassin recruits" stories, so how about Ezio getting taken care of by his merry little band? Maybe he gets sick for a few days or gets (not grievously) injured. As long he's confined to bed/his quarters at the Tiber Island hideout so that the recruits can hem and haw and fuss over him to make sure he gets better. It'd be a reversal from him constantly worrying over them.
Bonus points if Claudia, Maria and Leonardo get word of Ezio's illness and are hilariously sympathetic with the recruits' (hilarious and "They obviously look up to Il Maestro's") complaints about Ezio being such a big baby.
Double bonus points if Machiavelli is all snide and eye-rolling, "Look, old man, you need to stay your ass in bed so you get better. Listen to your recruits, dammit!"...but only because deep down in that cynical exterior, Machiavelli, like Ezio's family and Leonardo, truly care about Ezio's well-being.
