So, this OP has a rich history of 'would-be' and quite possibly true Templars in the family. Their mother graduated into a religious...cult for lack of a better word, called 'The Crusaders', her great-grandfather was a Grand Wizard of the Freemasons, there is a large section of her family who seem to just disappear from the face of the earth throughout history, with possible links to secret societies of the corrupt kind and a rumour that OP is descended from Lionheart himself (who though seemed to be oblivious to the Templar plot, did hire them).
OP is very saddened by this, as she does not want to be of Templar blood. Boohoo.
Therefore OP was hoping some wonderful anon would cheer her up with a nice fic about Maria and her change from Templar to Assassin at Altaïr's side, and how she was accepted, never mind her Templar roots. OP will give copious amounts of internet love, gold and gratitude in return!
