Potential authornon here- what do you want by way of body horror? Also, how do you feel about a body-share or split-personality ending? I love the idea of a sympathetic 16 fic (as much as I love creepy!16, he's always struck me as being well-meaning).

OP here. Definitely. A lot of Bad Things have just happened to him, and I think he has a hard time trusting both the Assassins and the Templars (from my reading of his monologue at the opening of ACR).

As far as body horror goes, 16 seems to have much less physicality than Desmond does in the Black Room - he can materialize in and out and such - and he seems to be used to not having that physicality, even though he seems to desire to have a body again. So I guess it's not so much horror-horror as existential horror, though you can definitely play around with the physics of the Animus to achieve that.

Bodyshare could be very interesting. I think personally I would prefer to keep it within the Animus world only because Desmond "carrying" him outside the Animus would probably fuck up Desmond even more and the poor boy has been through enough but that could VERY INTERESTING AND CREEPY.
