Speaking of sympathy and respect, perhaps you could have shown me the same courtesy. If anything I said came out as offensive, then I do indeed apologise. That was certainly not my intent. I had hoped that by reassuring OP that not everyone is horrible online would be taken in the positive aspect it was intended. That doesn't marginalise OP's experience: if anything, it makes it worse. No one should be driven away from something enjoyable due to a chance encounter.

Again, to OP, above poster, and anyone else who was offended: I apologise.

I'm not OP or that reply!anon, but I didn't find anything wrong with what you said. I don't think you should have to apologize.

All you did was state you own experience with multiplayer, and how it was different than the OP's. It felt more like a reassurance to the OP that not everyone on multiplayer is a dick.

I don't multiplayer myself (in AC or any other game), because I, like the OP, get tired of all the trash talk that is spewed out. (And usually by 12 yr olds, or people with the mentality of 12 yr olds.)

And if anybody want's to drag this discussion out any further than this post, I'll be waiting at the discussion thread. I have it subscribed to my inbox and will be more than willing to talk there, rather than derail OP's prompt more.

Oh, and OP? If I knew anything about the multiplayer characters, I would totally write you a fic (as bad as my action scenes are. X|)

I wasn't offended by anything anyone's said, don't worry! It really was just an isolated incident of some assholes being assholes, and it wouldn't have gotten to me if it wasn't my first experience with multiplayer, most likely. Like the first anon said, most of the people I've been grouped with didn't use the mike at all and the other few that did mostly just said stuff like "good match" or similar. The ratio of good matches to bad ones is overwhelmingly in favor of the good. The one group of jerks that did in the otherwise entirely friendly match was just... jarring. I do agree about adjusting some attitudes with hidden blades, though. It'd certainly be cathartic.

Aaand I'll stop derailing my own thread now as well. I might pop in on the discussion thread a little later.

Mirela was walking around searching for her target when she overheard both the Sentinel and the Guardian. Vali had been annoyingly arrogant for a while now, but Odai usually was kind, as far as Templars are kind. It's almost as if he was a different person.

"The girls are really typical, they even hunt as girls, and they suck." Vali said.
"Pshh yeah, these bitches don't know how to do this at all!" Odai replied.

"For example, have you seen that Thespian? She hasn't killed a single person this match!" Vali said while grinning.

"Yeah well, that Trickster bitch poisoned me before, stupid cunt. Poisoning is so lame, she was just lucky I wasn't able to stun her!" Odai said.

Mirela grinned while her hand brushed Vali's
"Well I'm sorry, this bitch has been so FOCUSed, and though I worked hard, I lost a few targets, so I'm DOUBLING my efforts. But because I'm girl, I used my lousy tactics and was HIDDEN in plain sight, INCOGNITO. Clearly girls suck, so much that I just took the lead.

Vali tried to push Mirela off, but his vision turned green, his hearing vague and he felt the strength leave his body.
