The Templars have captured that pesky Assassin that always gets in their way and messes with their plans, and Haytham, being severely annoyed, decides to deal with him personally. He sets about breaking Connor in every way he can - noncon, torture, brain-washing, until the young man is completely dependent on him. And then and only then does Haytham find out somehow that this young man he abused and broke and made his (fuck)toy is his son.

Now, everyone knows and loves how Sassy and sarcastic Haytham Kenway is, hell. He gives Shaun a run for his money in terms of his sassiness.

As thick-skinned and hardy as Connor is, I bet he's always wanted to meet Haytham and probably would've gotten to know him, were he not a Templar. Regardless, Connor's secretly been trying to impress his father, which hasn't been going so well if Haytham's sassy remarks and comebacks are anything to go by. In particular when Connor has to captain his ship, Haytham criticises his leadership and steering skills.

I'd like to see all that sass and sarcastic comments final get to Connor, that is, he straight up starts to break down from what his Father says, much to Haytham's surprise.

Bonus points if Haytham tries to awkwardly comfort him ~~and Connor responds by pushing him off his ship~~

GAAAH YES SECONDED. As much as I love Haytham, I wanted to toss his snarking ass of my damn ship because his comments only made me crash into every strip of land -___- (please have Connor end up pushing him of the ship :D)

Hahaha oh god I thought the exact same thing, especially since Connor delivered most of his lines with no emotion whatsoever, then he gets all <3 on that ONE line. :D

Apropos of nothing, from the minute I saw Myriam drunkenly lean on Norris and his face light up, I shipped them so hard, and was utterly overjoyed that Ubisoft included a giant multi-chapter-spanning side-quest thread of hook them up and then plan their wedding. I too was totally bummed there wasn't a big fetch quest thing for the wedding itself... I adored everyone on my homestead by the end! :D (I even kind of started to ship Connor/Ellen!)

Awww, Haytham, you jerk! A young person's self esteem is a fragile thing, especially when all that harsh criticism comes from his father! I really love this prompt. I think it'd be really realistic, and could be amazingly touching- and then hilarious. You know. If he does shove Haytham off the ship.

This is actually a pretty interesting prompt. I'd love to see this filled!

So, my Headcanon says that The Preacher from Multi-player is a lot like Frollo from Disney's Hunchback of Notre Dame (although MUCH more sympathetic) so I'd like to see a scenerio involving the song Hellfire with Preacher as Frollo and Independent or Lady Maverick (whichever one, take your pick) as Esmeralda.

Question though, did you change Connor's age to 14 for this? I think you mentioned him being 14 in part 1, but I wasn't sure. lol

When he wakes up, Connor can’t tell whether he was out for a few moments or for hours. It does not matter to him anyway. He feels safe and warm, plastered against his alpha, Haytham’s knot still tying them together.

Seconds later, the reality of what just happened hits him. He just bonded with his own father. He already knew his parents hadn’t imprinted, both of them being alphas anyway, but he had never imagined he would be Haytham’s bondmate. Imprinting on family members can happen, and it is somewhat accepted because it cannot be controlled, but children born of such unions are frowned upon and to be avoided. Connor spends a few seconds for disappointment; maybe he would have wanted children someday, after his village has been liberated. Sadly, such matters are second to the fact that Connor’s alpha is the Grand Master of the Templar Order, one he already knows he has to kill.

"Are you awake yet, boy ?"

The sound of his father’s voice throws him out of his reflections. Reflexes ingrained into him by Achilles’ training make him search for his hidden blade, discarded nearby, to kill his enemy when he is vulnerable. At the same time, the idea of murdering his own alpha makes him want to kill himself in shame. Connor does not even know if he would survive the patricide without going insane at the loss and horror of being the cause of his bondmate’s death.

"Whatever you’re thinking of doing, stop it. It’s useless. At the very least, we’ll be stuck to each other for another thirty minutes, and I don’t want to be tied to a corpse for even half as long."

Damn him. He’s right, of course. Connor can’t act one way or the other for now.

"After this, we’re going after Benjamin Church. This was why you were here for anyway, wasn’t it ? You want his supplies, I want him dead. Our interests are aligned. I see no reason not to work together for now."

"You cannot treat our bond as something to be pushed aside for later, father. I have no intention of working with Templars or Redcoats, and I very much doubt you would join the Assassins for me."

Haytham sighs.

"I should have expected that the son Ziio and I had wouldn’t be a malleable omega, but this would have been so much easier if you were. The Templars do not support the Crown. We want the same things that you do: Freedom, Justice, Independence. The imprint is not going to go away; sacrifices will need to be made, or assassinations will have to be ordered, I suppose, as I don’t think we could kill each other."

Connor wonders if he could just order Stephane or Duncan to take Haytham out, but dismisses the idea the moment it crosses his mind. Haytham is a skilled assassin; Connor himself can barely compare. Sending one of his recruits would be akin to killing them himself.

The thought and subsequent dismissal have nothing to do with how betrayed he feels at the idea that his own alpha considers having him disposed, or the uncontrollable fear that overcomes him when he thinks of Haytham’s life being in danger. He is a rational individual, he will not be ruled by his emotions about this, he will not. He is used to the impulses his omega nature impose on him, and he will not bow to those.

Despite his resolutions, he realises that attempting to end Haytham’s life, directly or indirectly, is not something he can do, but that does not mean they have to be together. They could part way, make sure they never see each other again.

This is another dead end: if Connor leaves friends and family, Haytham and the Templars would have won, free to support the British army without interference. He also knows without asking that his father would never leave his life’s work for Connor’s sake if he asked now.

There is only one option left for Connor. He can’t get rid of Haytham, but he has no idea if the reverse is true. As the alpha in a bonded pair, Haytham should feel the need to protect and care for his omega, but who knows if he really does. If it is the case, Connor might just be able to use those needs against him. If he can make Haytham genuinely care about him, if he can link the need to take care of him to the realisation of his goals, he might just convince Haytham to support him. The major flaw in this plan is that Haytham could easily try to do exactly the same, and would probably be a lot more skilled about it. Quite frankly, even he can tell his plan is more than slightly ridiculous and doomed to fail, but he can’t see valid alternatives. He can’t be an assassin while fearing an encounter with the leader of the Templars. Haytham has to quit. There’s only one way for Connor to make this happen. He has to get closer to his father.

"Fine. A truce. As soon as we can, we go after Church."

I think it's no secret that Haytham and Ziio were in love. And I think the amount of homo Charles gives off for Haytham is simply off the charts. So what I want is this: Charles has been pining for Haytham for who knows how long, obeying his every order, chasing after that elusive Native woman, doing EVERYTHING for him, only for Haytham to 'betray' him by sleeping with Ziio. Then one day, the Templars get drunk off their asses, and Charles convinces a completely stoned Haytham to sleep with him. Haytham agrees without really knowing what he's doing. The next morning, Charles wakes up and sneaks away, all guilty and stuff for taking advantage of Haytham. The Grandmaster himself wakes up sometime later, pieces the events together, and realizes what's happened. How his takes it is up to the author.

Bonus points for:
- Uke!Haytham. Because it has to be done.
- Haytham mentioning that it's not his first time with a man; Reginald Birch slept with him when he was converting him to a Templar.
- Charles trying to deny everything/acting like nothing happened

Come on, all you Charles/Haytham shippers! It's practically canon! Let's give it our best shot!
