Ah...feel free to take it wherever. :D I didn't really have much of a backstory to them except that they've both been with Charles and his family for a long time and, when Charles was home from his schooling, he mostly interacted with Ronald rather than his own father.

Thanks anon! :D And yep, I like dropping really weird stuff on Charles. Too fun to play with.

Yeah. Charles really kicked himself in the ass there. :D If he works wisely, he'll still be able to damage Connor and Washington's relationship, but it's definitely gotten harder. Hehehe. He's too fun to play with. :D

Heh, I'm sure. But still Charles' has accomplished a lot in such short time - forming an alliance with the Assassins and earning Connor's trust was no easy feat.

One-shot: A Mutual Enemy 3b/4

(Anonymous) 2013-06-07 11:06 pm (UTC)(link)
A/N: Triple digit heat outside melting my brain, so I had to hurry up and write this before it melted.

What was Kanen'tó:kon to him? He struggled with his words, as the answers he came up with conflicted with each other. The young Mohawk Alpha was a dear childhood friend, Mohawk brother, and a remnant of the innocent boy Connor had once been. The warrior in white and blue robes that avoided him on two separate occasions, was an enigma; possibly his enemy if he had indeed murdered William Johnson and was affiliated with the Assassins.

The Omega shook his head in attempt to clear it, knowing he would not have his answer until he talked to Kanen'tó:kon person. However, now was not the time nor place. Especially with his superior seemed to grow irritated while waiting for a response.

"I don't know," he admitted and before Lee could demand how that was possible, added, "he is a stranger to me; but I think we have met long ago. Perhaps while I was living in the frontier...'

It was not a lie, nor was it the whole truth, but fortunately the older Templar seemed to accept in. General Lee's expression was calm once more but only for a moment before he scowled when the newly elected Commander approached them.

"Charles..."

"George..."

Listening to them address one another by their first names, Connor wondered if the two Alphas might have been... well not friends, but perhaps close acquaintances. From what he has heard, Washington had served with Lee in the army, and fought side by side during the French and Indian war. However, the Templars needed to be in command of the Continental Army, and try to put a stop to this war while it was still in its infancy. Unfortunately, Charles Lee had only ascended to the Commander's second and with Connor's failure to apprehend Adams and Hancock... it was doubtful the Patriots would lay down their arms now.

While turning a deaf ear to the conversation between General and Commander, he glanced over as Samuel Adams lead Kanen'tó:kon out of the room. His old friend and possibly new enemy refused to acknowledge him. Pain blossomed in his chest, as he resisted the urge to not abandon his duties.

They would meet one another again, he vowed. Noah's agents would be successful in obtaining any information on the hooded man from that wanted poster. He needed to know what Kanen'tó:kon was up to working alongside the Sons of Liberty before he could sabotage anymore of their plans... kill any more members of the Order. Most of all, Connor wanted to find his friend and talk to him once more.

Why kill William Johnson, who had only wanted to help the Natives?

Why join a defeated organization, who were against order and structure, and become his enemy?

Connor vowed that he would help Kanen'tó:kon see reason. Then they could reconcile their friendship, and the young Templar dissuade him away from the Assassins, or possibly form a truce between their separate factions. That would be ideal, but would his father and the other members of the Inner Circle agree?

The Omega's face fell at the strong possibility of the Grandmaster turning down the truce and declared Kanen'tó:kon an enemy who needed to be hunted down and disposed of. Possibly accusing Connor of putting his own personal feelings over the Order's. Would Haytham hate him for that? Disown him? Would Connor lose the family he loved and cherished over the last several years?

He nearly recoiled at the idea and decided to focus on Lee and Washington as their brief came to an end.

"...Hope to settle our differences and work together in order to free this country," the Commander finished saying before he turned towards the Omega and offered a polite smile. "Now where are my manners! Please forgive me for not introducing myself sooner, George Washington..."

A large hand offered itself to Connor who stare at for a moment. As his father had raised him to behave as a gentleman, he was compelled to shake it out of politeness but was also aware of Charles frowning at them. Instead he met those warm sky blue eyes... and froze in horror.

Spirits... this man... this man was...

No... no... it could be...

The Colonel who had ordered his village to be burned and his people enslaved did not have any warmth any eyes or would have shaken Kanen'tó:kon's hand or wanted to shake his. That monster from the past had the coldest eyes he had ever seen and sneered in satisfaction as his people were thrown into cages. But still, over the many years that had past, there was no denying that the Colonel and the Commander were one in the same.

"Child, are you all right?" Washington asked, his voice filled with concern as he reached out to steady the pale Omega as he swayed.

Connor flinched back in response. He was unsure whether sheathing his dagger had been a good idea or a bad one, as he imagine stabbing it repeatedly into the Alpha before him. A stab for his mother, for his people, and every time those horrid monsters laid their filthy hands upon his helpless form.

A large arm pulled him close to another Alpha's larger frame and almost immediately he stopped shaking. Startled, he glanced over and up at Charles who held him protectively while frowning at Washington.

"You will have to forgive my Omega, George."

Connor's eyes went wide and he stiffened in the older Templar's hold.

'His Omega?!'

Surely he must have misheard! Charles Lee, the man who was most like to become their next Grandmaster, who disliked Natives, was to be his husband? Never would he have guessed...

But it was one shock after another! He suddenly felt light headed as he leaned a little against Charles who exchanged a few more words with a still concerned George Washington. That accursed light blue gaze stared at him once more, and he looked away, unconsciously pressing himself closer to his Alpha for support. The man who ordered the destruction of everything he once held dear, smiled, wished him well and walked away.

A/N: Poor Connor never gets a break, having to deal with his childhood friend being his enemy, remembering Washington's crimes, and now learning Charles is to be his husband. So much to take in, in so little time. Not to worry, I plan on giving him a break for the rest of this one-shot.

Oh wow anon! This installment is utterly amazing! :D

Having Kanen walk away, realizing who Washington is (is the Alpha attracted to Connor here?) and then that casual bomb that Charles dropped (Charles has clearly never heard of breaking things gently)! What a day.

//bounces//

I love how Charles backed Connor up and offered him security...even if he did announce their engagement seconds later in such a way.

In Pursuit of Happiness

Chapter 26 - TWCB

“You do not look pleased.”

It was stated so calmly, as if it were but a slight curiosity.

And why not? It ought to have been a slight curiosity for Charles. It would have been, had it not been for his own knowledge of what had truly happened.

And even then, he knew himself well enough to admit that he would not have cared had the victim of that long ago night been anyone but his wife.

“It is all theory to me,” Charles muttered uncomfortably. “I do not know why you believe I ought to be pleased.”

Connor seemed a bit taken aback.

“Such understanding would also be useful for your remaining brothers. If our alliance ever dissolves, then I am just as likely to stay my hand when it comes to them.”

Charles supposed it ought to soothe his emotions, but found that it did little. He would much rather have a viable weapon against his wife’s feelings for Washington.

Connor seemed to sense his frustration for he looked curiously at Charles, and Charles found it necessary to change the subject and distract him.

“Speaking of brothers, whatever happened to Church?”

His wife blinked for a second, taken off guard.

“My father had him executed.”

Oh.

“I hope the two of you were not close before...?”

Charles scoffed.

“There were two members of the Inner Circle I never cared much for. The first is Hickey, who is a dissolute lout and has no manners of which to speak.”

Connor raised his eyebrows at this.

“The second is Church. The man has always been rather ungrateful in the role that we played in saving his life and helping him at the beginning and far too greedy and ambitious to ever truly be a proper Templar. I am not surprised by his treachery, and only wish I could have been there to aid in his execution.”

His wife looked a bit unsettled at this.

“There are very few people I have ever wished to kill myself. And now, there are none.”

Charles stared incredulously at Connor.

“Please correct me if I am mistaken, but have you not killed many in your line of work?”

Charles was sure he heard counts of dead redcoats strewn all over enemy forts and casualties on the Frontier. And, only a few days ago, they had each of them taken the life of 10 men at least.

It was not a trifling number.

His wife looked guilty.

“There are necessities in any task that cannot be avoided, but I do not seek to kill.”

A man who so disliked killing but had a higher body count that the next 10 men.

Charles honestly wasn’t sure what to make of it.

“You ought not to have become an Assassin then.”

“That is not wholly by choice.”

What?

“What?” Charles echoed.

He could not have heard right. It didn’t make any sense.

But a part of him wished it to be true. Because if it was...

Connor stared at him then, suddenly uncertain and wary.

He seemed to think for a bit and then, coming to some sort of a decision, looked away.

“Do you know of my people’s traditions?”

It was such an odd question.

Charles tried to remember the very long and boring lectures William had given him before he was swept away into his duties and had perished with them.

“A little,” he admitted. “Not much.”

“When we come of age, we undergo a—spiritual journey.”

Ah yes. This one Charles did recall.

It was not a belief he shared himself, but he allowed that every group of people believed in some truly bizarre things.

“Is this the one where you discover your purpose?”

Connor looked startled at that, and Charles felt inordinately pleased with having been able to impress him with even his limited knowledge.

“My journey told me to find and learn from the man who held this symbol.”

He tapped the symbol of the Brotherhood on his vambrace.

Charles stared in disbelief.

That was oddly more—specific—than he’d expected.

“That particular symbol?” he asked, feeling a frisson of unease in the pit of his stomach.

Connor nodded.

“A spirit warned me of evil that would befall my people unless I sought out those marked by the Assassin symbol.”

The unease grew.

“A spirit?”

His wife looked distracted.

“A pale figure who glowed white and green.”

A memory sparked in Charles’s mind.

“And was this figure a woman with dark curls and unearthly pale skin?”

It was now Connor’s turn to look startled.

“You have seen her?”

Yes. In a certain cave he had fallen into. When he had been journeying to return his wife’s possessions to his people.

His research after told him it was Those Who Came Before.

To learn that they had sent his wife on such a journey, to become an Assassin...

What were they playing at? What did they want, bringing him back to now?

He needed to tread carefully.

“I do not know much of her, but I know that she is dangerous.”

Connor shivered.

“I felt so as well, but I do not believe she means ill to me or my people.”

Charles wasn’t sure he believed that, not with the plans that had sprung up in Parliament the moment the war against the Crown had been won. To deliberately put the young Omega on a path to help such people that would eventually drive the Natives out...

There was a deeper motive at work.

Charles wasn’t sure he liked it.

There was silence for a moment.

“You did not finish the story of your history.”

Charles focused on his wife who was idling staring at Charles’s ring.

“My apologies, but I seem to be too fatigued tonight. Shall we continue tomorrow?”

It was a weak excuse, but he needed to speak with Master Kenway. That the meddling of Those Who Came Before brought them to this pass, brought Master Kenway’s son to this pass...

His mentor needed to know.

Connor nodded.

“Then I wish you pleasant dreams and a good night.”

Charles’s wife stood up and, to Charles’s great surprise, drew the covers over Charles.

And then he left.

Charles absently fingered the hem of the blanket that his wife had grasped.

OMG two updates in one day, oh anon you know how to spoil your readers. Wonder what Haytham will make out of all of this. I especially love the ending where Connor draped a blanket over Charles, I sense affection blooming even though Connor himself isn't aware of it :)

Thanks anon, glad you enjoyed it :) As for Washington's attraction, not sure but that would be interesting as Washington has the position and title Charles desires, and Charles having the Omega that Washington desires. Not sure if I can work it in, but we'll see.

Charles has known that he has been selected to be Connor's husband for some time, and already sees the Omega as his - so all the Templar have back off and acknowledged his claim... all the Alphas outside the Order is a different story. Charles didn't want to give George the opportunity to charm Connor away from him.

Yeah, Charles's increased open nature and bestowing his own trust is working its own little miracle. He still has a very long way to go though. :D

I'm sure, after all there is still Connor's wide extensive family such as the Brotherhood, the Homestead Residents, the village, and of course Washington - the biggest obstacle at all. Wonder if Faulkner and the crew will ease up on Charles after he saved their Captain.

One-shot: A Mutual Enemy 4b/4

(Anonymous) 2013-06-08 08:57 pm (UTC)(link)

As Connor had predicted, they left Philadelphia the following day and rode for Boston. He and... his future husband, exchanged very few words throughout the trip. It was unprofessional to speak of such personal matters even when in the presence of Templar escorts. So Connor kept his questions and feelings to himself, and focused his hunter abilities to scout ahead for any potential threats such as wolves and bandits. The latter of course, were not so fortunate.

Every time a repulsive Alpha made a mistake of thinking he was a weak and helpless Omega, and tried to pin him; their torsos were frequently acquainted with both his sword and dagger. At the end of every battle, he stood victorious over the piles of his enemies before the bodies were hauled off the road. Aside from thanking Ellen countless times for clothing him in black to hide the splatter of blood, Connor often wondered, what would it be like to have Washington's blood on his hands?

That man, who had smiled and shown concern for him, was the same monster who was responsible for his mother's death, the burning of their village, and the suffering of his people. It was Washington's fault that he had been preyed upon by those slave masters who wanted to turn him into a breeder, and now he and Kanen'tó:kon stood on opposing ends. Connor frowned to himself as the memory of his childhood friend shaking the hand that ordered their peaceful lives to be ripped away from them, refused to leave him. He needed to convince Kanen'tó:kon of the truth, but how was he to do this without proof and when the Mohawk Alpha refused to acknowledge him?

So caught up in his thoughts, Connor hadn't heard the knocking upon on the door to his room at the inn they were staying at. He shook his head and silently berated himself for his lack of attention. Thinking that it might have been Clipper, he called out for the other Omega to enter.

The door swings open, but instead it is Charles Lee who stepped into his room, then stopped and ... stared. Connor would have found those stunned wide eyes and blushing face to be amusing if he wasn't confused by the reaction. Lee had seen him sorting and sharpening his weapons before. Then the Omega looked down at himself from where he sat cross-legged on the bed.

Oh.

After many days traveling and fighting on the road, it was Connor's top priority to have a bath when they reached the nearest inn. He must have soaked for over an hour, before climbing out and changing into a short night-shirt and smalls, without properly drying himself off. That had been a mistake, because even in the dimly lit room, he could still see his skin through the damp semi-transparent fabric.

The Omega wasn't sure what to do with his clothes were hanging on the other side of the room where his own traveling pack was. Had it been a complete stranger or any other Alpha, he would have immediately covered up. But Charles Lee wasn't any other Alpha, by his father's decision, he was going to be Connor's husband and the father of his children. So was there any point in hiding what the older Templar had intended to claim?

Fighting back his nervousness, he calmly put away his weapons, and gestured for the Alpha to have a seat somewhere. After shutting the door behind him and locking it, Charles seemed to recover his color and looked at the vacant chair a short distance away for a moment, before he approached the bed and - much to Connor's surprise - sat down.

The General took a moment to compose himself, his eyes trained on the wall he was facing, before he spoke. "I wanted to ask you about your reaction towards the Commander back in Philadelphia."

Connor was not surprised but remembering that chilling gaze from his childhood made him shiver, and out of habit, he drew his legs up his chest. Fortunately, the older Templar wasn't looking directly at him, or he would have laughed to see the proud hunter reduced to a frightened child.

"Do you remember what happened to my village?"

Charles nodded.

It had been several years ago, but Connor still remembered the day he had attempted to repay Charles Lee, that changed his life forever. In exchange for temporary shelter from the cold weather, a large meal, and treatment of his wounds; the once orphaned Omega had told his story to a curious William Johnson of how he ended up on the streets of Boston. At the time, he believed Johnson was the only one who had been listening, but it turns out all of them had been paying attention and had told his father everything.

"There was a Colonel leading the militia that attacked us, I saw him when we were loaded us into wagons and about to be sent to the slave markets. I could never forget the cold and impassive look on his face when my people cried and shook the bars of our cages." Connor took a moment to steel his nerves as he continued. "I saw him again recently... as he made his speech, accepting the position as the Commander of the Continental forces."

The Omega braced himself, expecting Lee's surprise or possible denial; but when none came, Connor glanced over at his Alpha whose gaze remained fixated on the wall. The older Templar was nor surprised, nor did he speak up to defend his former comrade. An unpleasant realization suddenly dawned upon him.

"You knew."

Charles actually flinched at his soon-to-be wife's sharp accusing tone, and nodded his head.

"Aye..."

Connor looked away and down the silver band around his finger.

"And so did my father and the others no doubt..." when only silence answered him, he continued on. "For how long did you know, and why did you all keep this from me?"

There was a brief silence as his husband took a moment to find the words.

"We were there when it happened." Connor felt his breath leave him as he stared at the other Templar in disbelief. "While your father was away, I lead the Inner Circle through Mohawk Valley, in search of your village. We wished to speak of your elders regarding certain sites related to an ancient civilization."

Now that he remembered his time with the others from the Green Dragon, the Omega did remember Johnson asking such questions and being disappointed from the lack of answers.

"We spent days searching, I admit I had grown quite irritable with our lack of progress, and decided to return to Boston... when we saw the fire. My brothers and I finally found your village, but it was in ruins. Ransacked. We found no one alive."

Connor shivered again, wrapping his arms around his legs.

"It was much later, we discovered that it was Washington who had ordered the attack upon your village, and many others during the war."

"Why was I not told?" he asked softly while his amber gaze fell upon the Templar crest emblazoned upon his ring.

"The Grandmaster believed that you were not yet ready to handle the truth. He believed you would have acted on your desire for revenge. Putting yourself and the Order in danger."

Connor grit his teeth in frustration. He wanted to argue that he should have been told otherwise. However, he could not fault his father's concerns. Yes, he would have most likely gone after that Colonel and killed him in cold blood. When he had first joined the order, the young hunter had not been trained to handle fighting scores of armed soldiers, and would have most likely been caught and killed. If he managed to escape, there would have been a manhunt... and there was no way Connor would put his father and their organization at such risks.

"So... my meeting you at Independence Hall was a test then?" he asked while knowing the answer, "to see if I would recognize the man who committed those crimes against my people, and not kill him in public?"

"Your father had complete faith in you."

Connor pursed his lips and relaxed somewhat, stretching his legs and rested his hands in his lap. Although it was gratifying to know that he had not disappointed his father in Philadelphia as he must have in Lexington, but a part of him was bitter. The colonists had placed that monster on a pedestal, believing he would lead this land and its people to freedom, when in fact he was a hypocrite who captured and kept slaves.

"Washington deserves to die..."

"And he will!"

The Omega flinched as his mate finally turned to face him. Blue eyes shone with determination and desire, as large hands encased his own. Charles Lee leaned close and spoke in a low whisper.

"If you and I work together, we can make it so."

A/N: And that's how Charles and Connor become partners in crime, or Lord and Lady Macbeth who are out to murder Washington and install Lee in his place.

<3 Charles reaction to Connor. It is SO cute. And what a yummy image it is. I can just imagine Connor in a long semi-transparent shirt sticking to him. Really looking forward to the delicious smut. Hehehe. :D

The test was rather cruel and risky, but I'm glad that nothing terrible came of it. //cuddles Connor// I suppose Charles was watching Connor closely to make sure he wouldn't do anything...rash.

fffffffffffffffff an update <3<3<3

Now that I calmed down...

I think this scene has something rather intimate in it, not in the physical sense of course, but in sense that not even Haytham or anyone else can share such a moment with Connor - these two have both witnessed one of Those Who Came Before, and it's no small experience. Imagine the possibility to share it with someone without sounding like a lunatic, heh. Hopefully Charles can conjure up his wits after consulting Haytham, it's about high time he moved toward a more serious direction. *still rooting for Charles like whoa*

In Pursuit of Happiness

Chapter 27 - Chilling Thoughts

As expected, when Charles informed Master Kenway of what he’d learned during his mentor’s visit the next day, the man was not pleased.

“We must re-examine our priorities.”

Charles nodded, though he did not like the idea.

Their current goals were all things they, as humans, could influence. The war effort, the alliance with the Brotherhood, Charles’s private mission with Connor... This new addition of Those Who Came Before was out of their understanding and out of their control. As such, it was wholly unwelcome.

“Sir, if They pushed your son onto the path of the Assassin, then might it not mean that They favor the Assassins?”

It was a frightening idea, and one that Charles hoped that his mentor would reject. After all, if such power favored their enemies, then how could they ever gain a sustainable advantage?

Master Kenway looked thoughtful.

“If They do, then Their power is limited. There would have been no need for Them to send you back to fix things if They were all-powerful.”

True that. If Those Who Came Before were really all that powerful, then they would have directly influenced events to the outcome they wanted the first time.

“They need me,” Charles whispered in wonderment, feeling oddly powerful.

“They needed an event to not happen that did or an event to happen that did not,” Master Kenway corrected. “You may be integral to that event or series of events, but take care not to assume that you will always be integral. We still know nothing of Their true motivations or what it is They are after.”

Charles immediately felt less powerful.

“But whatever Their motivations are, it is clear that They are determined to direct Their influence on our world in ways that have negatively impacted us in the past.”

There was no doubt of that. From Connor’s own statements, he would not have been an Assassin had it not been for Those Who Came Before.

Charles allowed himself to dream for a moment. What would Charles’s wife have been like, if he had never become an Assassin?

Not an enemy, that was for sure. Perhaps he would never have left his village and remained a simple hunter in the woods. He would know neither how to command a ship nor how to kill people with such ease. He might even have been already married off to a village Alpha and expecting a child. He would certainly not be the leader of Alphas and crafter of destiny he was today.

Charles would never have met him aside from that brief interaction so long ago.

“I think it has something to do with us.”

“Oh?”

Charles struggled to elaborate.

“Their first influence was on Connor to put him on the path of an Assassin. I can only think of a few reasons for him to become an Assassin specifically and all of them could be accomplished through other means except one: fighting against the Order.”

Master Kenway did not look pleased.

“While Those Who Came Before are clearly not gods, if They were truly against us, I have no doubt that They would have succeeded in destroying us long ago. They have been influencing the Assassins for generations.”

Yes, there was that. It really did not make sense unless...

“The artifact.”

Charles’s mentor understood immediately and drew out the amulet from around his neck.

They both looked at it, so innocently resting against the palm of Master Kenway’s hand.

“Each of the past few times They have interfered have been in relation to Their artifacts. There were rumors of Altair Ibn La’Ahad having come into contact with the Apple of Eden and being a changed man. We have accounts of Ezio Auditore meeting great changes in his own life due to the several artifacts he came across. And now my son...”

“And me,” Charles whispered.

Master Kenway’s sharp grey eyes focused on him.

“And now you.”

The message was clear, if daunting. Those Who Came Before apparently did not enjoy the thought of Their artifacts being left in Templar hands.

“But then why send me back?” Charles mused. “They could just as easily have sent Connor himself back, to avoid the marriage and destroy our Order.”

Master Kenway shrugged, though the intensity of his gaze did not decrease.

“Perhaps They need physical proximity to Their artifacts to evoke Their power and had not the opportunity with my son.”

Charles shook his head.

“Connor came into contact with your amulet once. During our honeymoon,” and he blushed thinking about it, “there was an incident, and you placed the amulet in front of him to test his composure.”

“Oh?”

Master Kenway looked mystified, but Charles would not elaborate. It was painful thinking about those times, about what had happened. If Charles had not acted so with his wife, if he had been a proper, patient husband focused on educating his wife as to the rightness of their principles instead of subjugation, intimidation and torture, would his wife have been so eager to trade his own life for Washington’s?

It was not important to their current discussion, and, luckily, Master Kenway did not push.

“There need not be a single objective. They may have many and while one is, apparently, to keep the artifacts hidden away—“

“—hidden away?” Charles could not help questioning.

His mentor looked vaguely annoyed.

“I do not see the Assassins using the artifacts even though they have been in their grasp for several hundred years. Whatever contact the Brotherhood has had with Those Who Came Before, it is obvious that the Assassins were no more allowed to use them, save for a single moment or two, than we are.”

That made sense and lessened the knot in Charles’s stomache. It was easier to think of a more neutral entity of such power than one firmly on the opposing side.

“So Their sending me to the past—”

“—may have more to do with another of Their objectives. One that seems to revolve around you and my son.”

“Or my son.”

Master Kenway’s grey eyes bored into his own, grave and solemn.

“Or your son.”

And wasn’t that a scary thought? That his wonderful little son, his little Haytham who Washington would have, no doubt, killed for the sin of not being his son, may be at the very heart of all this?

“I would like to borrow the amulet, sir. I would like to see if I can contact Them directly.”

He had questions that he wanted answered.

That's an awesome idea, anon! I never thought of that, but you're absolutely right. It's an experience that's pretty unique to the two of them and, as such, they are now very different than everyone else around them. :) If nothing else, Connor may be more inclined to trust Charles given his own experience with TWCB.

Yes, poor Charles is blessed and tortured by such eye-candy that he can't touch or taste yet. Which is why he's staring at the wall and trying to keep his erection hidden from sight :p

It was a cruel test, but one the Templars needed Connor to pass. But yeah, Charles was watching Connor and there were probably other agents nearby ready to get him out of there in case he did go ballistic.

I love all the 'what could have been' thoughts Charles has regarding Connor not being an Assassin (have a feeling he'd be paired up with Kanen0 or what would have happened had he been a proper husband (really dying to read that Master of the House and First Word crossover someday).

“Connor came into contact with your amulet once. During our honeymoon,” and he blushed thinking about it, “there was an incident, and you placed the amulet in front of him to test his composure.”

LOL, I really need to update Honeymoon. But the First Word bunny is a selfish brat who does not want to stop chewing on my brain.

As for the artifacts, I wonder when Haytham and Charles discover that Connor has the Shard of Eden, and by both artifacts combine they summon captain planet they can pull you into your memories. Not sure if it's a Connor exclusive thing or not.

I bet Haytham would murder him if he dared touch his son before marriage. :D

Definitely after In Pursuit of Happiness is done. I like to work on one story at a time for formatting reasons. :) Also, not very good at bouncing between ideas.

Not sure if it's a Connor exclusive thing or not.

Oh wow. You just gave me a great thought. :D Thanks!
