All of those buildings go up instantly when you complete Homestead missions, but you just know that Connor is the type to help out with the construction all day every day on every single one until the work is done.

And when he works hard he gets hot and sweaty, and generally strips down out of all the clothes he can while still remaining decent. He never seems to notice when they forget themselves and stare too long instead of working alongside him, either. Best of all, when he's exhausted at the end of the day he even lets them dote on him with food and conversation without his usual level of bashful protest.
