Erudito. Who is he? Is he merely a man? An organization? Both? What are his goals, where does he stand in the war between Assassins and Templars...and how did he know how to contact Desmond?

I want to see a bit of the history behind Erudito, both the person and the collective (since I think that both are good possibilities). Who is Erudito, and why does he do what he does? Is he a former Assassin? A former Templar? A member of the First Civ? Somebody made immortal by a PoE? Whatever the crazy theory you got is, I wanna see it!
