I second what the anon reviewer above me said. I want to see Haytham roasting in guilt for what he's done, but hope Connor will be spared. There's really beautiful angst you have going on here, and Achilles is an angel (albeit, a rather cranky angel). I have the feeling he doesn't really trust Haytham (since he's a wise old fox unlike our naive Connor), but is letting it go for Connor's sake.

Damn, I really hope Haytham gets some measure of comeuppance!

This chapter broke my heart, WriterAnon. ;-; It was definitely the saddest of the last few chapters, imo. Seeing Connor how much Connor has changed, from the brave, optimistic young man he is in the games to the nervous, cynical husk he is in this fic is heart-wrenching. And he's giving up being an Assassin too... *sobs*

I kind of wish that Achilles will find out the whole story of what happened to Connor. I think he'll probably be more upset that Connor had relations with a Templar, over the fact that Connor doesn't exclusively want to bed women. I mean, the Assassins always struck me as a fairly accepting lot. I think that right now, Achilles, the recruits, Faulkner and the rest of the Aquila's crew, and the homesteaders are Connor's best hope of truly healing.

I hate Haytham so much right now >:( *shakes fist*

(There should be another chapter of the fic I'm writing for you soon, btw!)
