Again poor Haytham and poor Connor, if only Grandpa Haytham were alive he'd take them away from this hostile home environment Charles has created. Speaking of Charles, I wonder if he's worried that Connor will leave him once he wakes... after all didn't he break one of his promises of being a good father to Haytham?

The promises were more one thing in exchange for another. Connor made a string of promises in return to the promises Charles made him. So Connor will cease standing by him (support, etc).

It leads to Connor and Haytham playing the long game, so to speak. :)
