But yeah...George is kind of irritatingly oblivious a lot of the time. And he didn't listen to either Connor or General Putnam when they both warned him his life was in danger.

I always thought that it was kind of patronizing, so decided that George needed to learn how to listen to other people's concerns. He's good enough (historically, anyways) when it comes to listening to people talk about his shortcomings, but warnings seem to escape him somehow...

Yeah, but he is the Patriot Commander, so a lot of people are out to kill him. I think Achilles summarized it best when he was talking to Connor after the execution, that George shouldn't know about the Templars' plot to kill him because it would only affect his ability to lead and cause him to choke or second guess his actions - which would only work in the Templars' favor.

Heh, except for when Connor found out about George's role in attacking his village for the second time, just cause Connor threatened to kill him or Haytham if they planned on stopping him, and Connor is good at keeping his word when it comes to killing people.

Yepyep. :) There's a point, but a good commander knows just who to listen to and who not to listen to. Historically, he even apologized to Lee for causing Lee to doubt his abilities after Lee sent a letter asking to have him relieved of his position...

He's mostly just thinking about blackmailing Connor. Connor's just an enemy who happens to be a very good fuck for him right now since he doesn't know about the Kenway connection.
