If Haytham had known that having a son would bring him this much trouble, he’d have done things much differently. Maybe he should have taken him from Ziio and raised him within the Order. The boy is talented enough, he would have made such a useful pawn if he did not have all those silly idea about freedom. That would have taken care of this ridiculous bond business.
A bondmate was never something Haytham wanted. Relationships were secondary to the realization of his goals. He had vaguely hoped that, should he ever met his omega, they would be pliable, a nice and polite counterpart to help his politic ambitions, one that would look good standing by his side and would not question his methods or allegiances. The reality could not be farther for his wishes.
Underneath him, Charles lets out a feeble moan. Haytham figures he should tell him that he’s bonded now, but Charles has been in love with him for years, and Haytham knows he won’t take this particular news very well. Charles can be … unstable when pushed, and Haytham can’t afford to jeopardize the Order. He’s still disturbed by the news of Ziio’s death at Charles’ hand, but there’s nothing he can do about it, so better let sleeping dogs lie. Right now, the Templars need Charles. He’s completely devoted to the cause, and to Haytham, which is a nice bonus. Oh, Haytham likes him well enough, he’s a dear friend, one that he does not want to hurt uselessly. He also has … other uses.
"Haytham … Please"
Haytham figures he teased Charles long enough. He pulls out the four fingers that were inside of Charles, slightly too much but Charles likes it that way. Without giving him a chance to adjust, he fills him in one quick thrust and start using him ruthlessly. He needed a partner with whom he could keep complete control, and Charles is always too happy to fill that role for him. Fucking Charles won’t stop the sensation of loss that is his constant companion of late, but it will quiet the unrest he feels for a while. He pushes inside of Charles as far as he can once more and Charles spills, untouched. Haytham wonders what Connor would look like if he was as enamored with him as Charles is, if he was in Haytham’s bed by choice and not by obligation. Would he let Haytham touch and tease for hours, the way he likes to, before giving him satisfaction ? Does he enjoy pain, like some omega do ? So many unanswered questions.
Beneath him, Charles is whimpering softly, overstimulated, and Haytham comes to the idea of Connor making similar sounds.
