HDM/Daemon Au

Daemon AU. With Assassin's and Templar's views on how one's daemon should be? Maybe templars hates bird-daemons because they think no man should have the right to fly? Maybe just a study on a character and there daemon?

No real big guidelines. Keep it gen or swing a pairing in there. Pretty open.

"This isn't going to end well," a soft breathy voice hissed into his ear. Altair, used to the sensation, didn't so much as blink. Below him, Robert de Sable was ordering his men to do something about the treasure. His back was turned to the small group, unaware that he had visitors there with him.

"You worry over nothing, Desmond," Altair softly chided the daemon clinging to resolutely to his shoulder pad. Desmond clicked his beak at his master, golden eyes narrowing.

"You said that earlier too, right before that bastard guard shot at me."

"I killed him, didn't I?"

"You broke the Creed though," Desmond reminded him, voice tinged with sadness and guilt. "Your master will say that it was all for naught, and kill you. He's not exactly wrong, Altair. It seems like every time you mess up, its because of me."

The Assassin frowned, turning his gaze from his target to his partner, who had his head bowed, beak nearly touched his feathered chest. Gently reaching out with a finger, he stroked Desmond right beneath the eyelid. "Hey, we'll be alright. Al Mualim is many things, but he is no fool. He will not take you from me, nor will he kill me. He knows that either way, one of us would go rabid if the other were to die."

"But it shouldn't be that way!" Desmond hissed quietly, looking distraught. "Malik and Kadar... when Kadar died, Malik went into a seven-year coma before he finally faded away. Most daemons and their masters are like that. So why are you and I so different?"

Altair clucked his tongue in reprimand. They had been over this many times. "We're just different is all. It's not a bad thing."

Desmond sighed, leaning into his master's touch. "I hope not."

"Now, shall we go put an end to Robert de Sable, and take back the treasure for Al Mualim? Or are you content to sit here all evening and let your beautifully sharpened claws go to waste?"

So would all the Assassins that Desmond visit in the Animus have the same deamon name? Wouldn't that make it extremely weird for Haytham and Conner?
