The assassin novices who came to take Leonardo while Ezio delt with Borgia were surprised at the smiling man.

"If you were expecting a fight, I'm afraid I must disappoint." He told them happily. The inventor was expecting them and after so many years of spying on the Templars he would finally be able to go home.

"Remember," One of the older novices reminded the others, "we are not to hurt him. Il maestro wants to deal with him personally."

Leonardo couldn't help but chuckle. Oh yes, that was Ezio's style.

"I'm sure he will."

The willingness that Leonardo displayed going with them unnerved them until they reached the safety of Monteriggioni. Then they were excited, whooping and cheering, bringing Leonardo before Ezio in a way that reminded the artist of how wolf cubs might bring their first kill before their mother. It was actually very adorable.

Ezio. Leonardo pushed forward a bit but one of the novices grabbed him to pull him back causing a small whine to escape the blonde. It had been far too long since he touched and tasted. This didn't seem to escape the notice of the master assassin who just smiled. Tease!

"You do not need to concern yourselves with him." He told the novices who gave him a confused look, "He has been my mate since the beginning. Where else do you think I've been getting my information on Borgia from?"

A hardened hand that had shed the blood of so many reached out to gently caress Leonardo's cheek causing the receiving man to lean into the sweet touch. It was terrifying and exciting at once. The last time he had a male alpha reveal himself it almost lead to his hanging but he knew that none of Ezio's students would dare betray their master. And being acknowledged out in the open like this was making him feel dizzy and light headed. He soon snapped out of that feeling when Ezio gave a light tug on the collar around his neck.

"Leonardo, what is this thing?" The Auditore asked with no small hint of disgust. Around his artist's lovely neck was a collar with the templar cross hanging from it.

"Ah, a gift from Cesare." He told him, "A way of marking me as his own since I was not willing to let him take me." Ezio scowled. How like a Borgia to try and take an Omega that was not his and to go ahead an mark him anyway!

"You will have no further need for this, amore mio." Ezio told him unleashing the offending collar before tossing it to the side like trash. Turning to the other members of the Order Ezio announced, "Eat, drink, and be merry, my brothers, for the house of Borgia has fallen!" Cheers erupted from the crowd and they began to disperse giving the couple an opportunity to slip away up to Ezio's room in the attic.

Behind the safety of closed doors Ezio let his hands wander over Leonardo's body. Leaning in he inhaled the genius's scent deeply.

"You're in heat." He growled.

"You have no idea," Leonardo crashed his lips against the other, "how hard it was," Here another kiss was stolen, "seeing you just outside my window," and yet another, "and being able to touch you."

Scarred lips smiled against Leonardo's gentle ones.

"Mi dispiace." Ezio replied smoothly, "I had to see you. Let me make it up to you."

Very very gently Ezio pushed Leonardo against the mattress of his bed.

Press O to blow out the candles.

Second writeranon here, this is sexy and hot and ridiculously romantic. Thank you for making me grin like an idiot so late at night. Now my cheeks hurt. :D
