Yeah, I was afraid people would find it too dark, but to me that was the only way that made sense. The pairing is Altaïr/Malik because I couldn’t write a Robert/Altaïr ending that was somewhat happy and I don’t really like Altaïr/Maria, personal preference, feel free to ship whatever.

Kadar pretty much shoved himself into this story and did whatever he wanted. I was just along for the ride.

At this point, I’m really happy you liked it. That was pretty much a leap of faith (pun unintended).
