It may be a strange request, but I'd like to request a fic where Connor has Asperger’s Syndrome.
I have Asperger’s Syndrome, a high-functioning form of autism that usually results in abnormally low knowledge of proper social interactions, difficulty with change, stiff and robotic movements, taking everything literally, etc. Now I know that Connor was not written as autistic and much of his behavior is the result of PTSD or his culture, but I cannot tell you how nice it is to have a character that has as much trouble with social interaction as I do, a character that is *gasp* “rigid and emotionless” around people who he can’t understand/look down on him, and a character that is innocent and naive as opposed to a knowledgeable player. When I play as Connor I feel like I in a tiny way I can seamlessly slip into his shoes, and I’ve always wanted a fic where he had Asperger’s because of it.
Whether it’s a modern AU, just an AU in general, or follows canon with Desmond recognizing his symptoms and feeling bad for not being able to tell him, I don’t care as long as Connor has Asperger’s.
If you want to include a pairing DesCon is preferred but I don’t mind if another one is used.
