So I tried to play AC3. SO FREKKING MANY TREES! Anon kept getting lost everywhere.
Anyway, anon got to the part where Connor needs to save a future townsperson from being swept downriver.
So, of course, I sprint along, climbing sheer hills, bursting through thorny bushes, and generally having Connor be all heroic. Oh, two wolves in my path? Fine, so the quick time events, clear the path, keep running...
And while I am LOOKING at the poor fellow heading towards the waterfall at a terrifying speed, I get the usual "desynch imminent!" flash and a "Connor always skinned the animals he killed" message.
If we go by the idea that desynchronisations happen because the player fails to do things the way the ancestor did, well... That means that Connor actually stopped the rescue in order to skin the wolves, before running further down the river to save his future townsperson.
Conclusion: Connor gets distracted by everything. Life or death situation; fine, but Connor really needs to get that kitten out of a tree first.
The Connor and the ooh shiny
