Not literally. It just makes a twistes kind of sense that the reason why he is so nice to everyone on the homestead and such a ruthless warrior is that he is a Dexter-esque psychopath (or, serial killer with some morals). He isn't very charming, obviously, because what teenage male is anything but awkward, but he helps people, because why not, and because shy-awkward-but-kind is a good thing to seem. And then there is all the time where he brutally murders people who fit his code, complete with extensive preparations (everything from checking they deserve it to watching them to learn their routine to making sure his weapons are all ready).
So, mostly a nice guy except he kills people.
