Here's my scenario: A character, at times, gets a glimpse into some hypothetical fanfiction/fanart scenarios (they don't need to be currently extant irl) when A) circumstances could theoretically allow the events of the hypothetical fanfiction/fanart scenario to take place, B) it is, in an alternate universe, happening, or C) both. So, it's technically a kind of precognition/clairvoyance. Maybe your chosen seer can warp reality with this ability.
Possible scenarios, using Altaïr as our example victim: -Altaïr, forced to cope with uncomfortably intimate knowledge of AltMal or other ships. Could turn traumatic, if you do this with an Altaïr/Robert de Sable work. -Altaïr has to deal with visions of an AU where he's, like, a vampire or something. -I read a nice fill where Malik turned Altaïr into his bitch. So, how would Altaïr feel about seeing/experiencing his alternate self being degraded like that? How would he feel, knowing that it's entirely possible? -Altaïr accidentally peeking into another universe and learning Things Man Was Not Meant To Know. -Altaïr watching his Modern AU self cry into his coffee in the morning. -Selfcest. -Altaïr accidentally ends up knowing the future. Or, everything.
