He heard the sound first.

Not the TARDIS arriving, as many had before him, but he had been watching crowds from the roofs and there was this odd sound. He couldn't even place it. A quick switch to eagle vision nearly blinded him. This man was the brightest blue he'd ever seen, so much so it was like the vision was bending around him to fit more blue in. He clutched his head as he switched back to normal vision, gritting his teeth against the pain.

This man would have to be observed.

Vampires. It certainly explained the public unrest lately, he supposed.

However, he doubted he could handle this himself. Or perhaps he wanted a reason to talk to this strange man. So, he dropped in on them while they were attempting to fight off one of the things. At the sight of him, it ran off, which slightly disappointed him. He did like being a more heroic hero.

"And who are you, then?" Ezio turned, bowing with a flourish before the man was in his face. He looked... displeased. "You are different. Why are you here?"

"To help. I am a... protector of the people. These, ah, vampires are terrorizing the city." The man still looked unhappy. Ezio had the feeling that he knew everything about him, somehow. The man was pushed aside by a lovely lady with rather provocative clothing.

"Don't mind him, he's a little odd. I'm Amy, that's the Doctor, and him over there -" she pointed at a boy in the corner, who let out an impudent 'hey' at her description - "is Rory. What's your name, you stallion?" Ezio smiled cordially, lifting her hand up to kiss it softly.

"Ezio. It is a pleasure to meet you all." He let his eyes linger on the Doctor, watching his glare.

"Alright, onward, there are things to do, people to save!"

Ezio's skills came in very handy when the machine happened to be on the top of the belltower. He followed the Doctor's instructions and they saved the day, quite nicely. The Doctor clapped, grinning at him as he slipped back down.

"Great! Wonderful! You are an amazing climber. You'd love it on Falli 6, they have great cliffs and..." Ezio was smiling at him, eyebrow quirked. "What, it'd be wonderful, I think."

"You are not from here."

"Well no, obviously, we're from this little--" Ezio smiled and shook his head.

"You are not human. You have two hearts. It took me a while to figure out what it was." He laid a hand on the Doctor's chest, closing his eyes. "It's amazing, though. Such a beautiful sound..." The Doctor's eyes narrowed, gently removing Ezio's hand.

"I'm sure." Ezio chuckled softly.

"You know what I am, it's only fair that I know what you are. You know, my friend Leonardo would love to meet you." The Doctor brightened up almost immediately.

"Leonardo? As in Leonardo da Vinci?" Ezio nodded. "I've got to see him! I bet Amy and Rory would love to see him too, come, let's go, hurry!" Ezio laughed, letting himself be dragged along.

Leo was happy to let them all in, as intrigued by his visitors as Ezio was. He played with the Doctor's "bowtie", examined the material of Amy's and Rory's clothes, and bombarded them with questions.

It took him roughly two and a half minutes to figure out that they were from the future.

"How far? What year? Oh, I must know, please tell me!" The Doctor laughed, Rory looked a bit scared (as always), and Amy smiled.

"Us two are from around 2010. This guy here?" She made as if it was a secret, whispering around her hand. "We have no idea." Leo looked positively delighted.

"So far! I'm sure everything has changed. I bet it's wonderful! Wouldn't it be wonderful, Ezio?" He hummed in agreement. He was happy that Leo was so happy. "So you must be the one with the, um, time traveling device?" The Doctor scowled a bit.

"Well, yes, but I don't think--"

"Oh, you must let me see it! Unless that would cause time to... break, or something." Amy used her puppy eyes, Rory shrugging and looking rather unconcerned about the whole thing, and the Doctor sighed.

"Alright, come on then! Time for adventures!" The entire party strode out the door, Ezio following last. This could be very interesting.

"It's bigger on the inside!" The Doctor laughed, clapping.

"I love it when they say that."
