When he manages to gather his thoughts he rolls off of Leonardo, whose essence joined his own not too long before, and attempts to catch his breath. The cold air prickled at his naked and sated skin, the candle at his desk had burned down to a stub and flickered, dangerously close to snuffing itself out. Beside him Leonardo continued to make small sounds, quiet moans, as he floated through the aftershocks of his orgasm. With weak arms and an exhausted body, Ezio brought himself closer to Leonardo and lay his head on his shoulder, watching his expression, noticing the fading flush trailing down his neck.

“Are you okay?” He finally whispers, when Leonardo's noises grow softer and softer until they are non-existent and only their deep breaths fill the air.

“Sí, and you?” Leonardo's voice is husky, almost rasping. The candle on his desk died, drenching them in darkness.

“Fantastico,” He murmured, and lay there languidly pressed up against Leonardo's side for a few moments before forcing himself to sit up and grope blindly for his shift, wiping from them both the sticky mess that had begun to dry on their stomachs and thighs.

“I cannot stay the night.” Leonardo whispered at the cloth swept over his midriff.

“I know. Cesare will be waiting.”

“I do not have a choice.”

“I know.” Ezio moved to kiss at Leonardo's form, feeling his way up to his face before pressing his lips against his lover's tenderly.

Ezio bid good bye to Leonardo at the gate of the tunnel, having given him some bread and cheese beforehand so that he may have something to eat before sleeping. They kissed deeply, tenderly, and the ache reformed in Ezio's chest, the swoop in his stomach re-materialised. But this time it was not so bad. This time Ezio knew he could act on it.

Well, there you have it, anons of the kinkmeme. After years of being a lurker and appreciator, I've finally done my first fill. It was scary, stressing at times, and I didn't half lose sleep over it, but here it is. I can only hope that you enjoyed it and that it wasn't half-bad!

This is one of the most beautifully emotional fills I've seen on the meme so far. I got choked up at how sweet it was, and how /real/ they both seem. This anon approves and I hope you write more in this vein. You have a fan. <3

To be honest I've never really written romance before, as I tend to specialise in angst and I've dipped into humour once or twice, so it was quite the challenge for me, so I'm really glad that it went down well, and yes, maybe I will write some more of a similar nature!

I have to be honest, when I saw your note saying this was the end, my reaction was something like: ;___; I completely missed that this was part 5 of 5 and was crushed when it ended.

That being said, this was a fantastic fill! I loved Ezio's thoughts and emotions throughout the whole thing, as he first comes to terms with his love for Leonardo and then as he decides to do something about it. I have to agree with the above anon that it was plenty hot without them using the oil. The sex was very hot and well written and then it's so sweet at the end when Leonardo has to go. Thank you, writer!anon, this was a delight to read.
