The Long Game [3/?]

“Two hours I spent racing across the length and breadth of Firenze for you, padrone, thinking that I would but chance upon your body floating down the Arno.” Giovanni was walking him firmly backwards, in a familiar path spiced today by the dangerous gleam in his assassin's eyes. “Because you had not thought twice about indulging your brother's whims.”

“He had a very persuasive argument,” Lorenzo was nothing if not stubborn, even as his knees hit the back of his bed and Giovanni tumbled him over onto the covers. “Giovanni, my hands.”

“Do you understand what it is like to be helpless, padrone?” Apparently it was a rhetorical question, as Giovanni kissed him roughly, curled over him with gloved fingers digging into his shoulders, when Lorenzo opened his mouth to retort. Drunk on Giovanni's obvious lust and still uncertain if he liked the predatory, angry edge to the assassin's desire this night, Lorenzo shuddered and squirmed, a groan dragged deep from within him as Giovanni pulled back. “I think you do not. And that you should learn what it is like. Perhaps you will refrain from further foolishness in the future.”

“You are most insolent,” Lorenzo growled, stung. “You forget your place.”

“And the N'ghata would have been equally insolent had you not slipped their grasp.” Gloved thumbs curled briefly over his throat, pressing pointedly over the pulse at the jugular until Lorenzo grit his teeth and jerked away. “Milord.”

“Giovanni, stop this nonsense. Give me back my hands, or I will have you thrown out.”

“I'll gag you,” Giovanni said mildly, as he unbuckled first the baldric across his chest, then the complex arrangement of belts and sashes at his waist.

“You would not dare.”

“You have tried my patience most sorely tonight, padrone,” Giovanni tugged the red sash free of the ornate silver buckle and the belt. “Perhaps you need a thorough reminder of our pact. Firstly, that we are allies, and you will respect me as such,” Giovanni bent, to lap at a nipple, until Lorenzo arched with a gasp, then a soft moan when Giovanni turned to teeth. “Secondly,” Giovanni leaned up, licking into his mouth as Lorenzo pushed insistently into the kiss, demanding more, then growling and struggling in outrage when Giovanni pulled away to fit the red sash firmly over his mouth, “That I am no servant of yours, to obey you utterly.”

Lorenzo growled at him, trying to indicate that it would go poorly for Giovanni once his hands were free, but the sound emerged as an indignant, muffled squeak, and the assassin smirked at him, leaning up to press brushing kisses over his forehead and his eyes, pinning him down to the bed with his greater weight.

“You are not invulnerable, Lorenzo.” Giovanni said softly, the kisses pressing down to his right ear, Giovanni taking the lobe gently into his mouth, then nuzzling tenderly against the shell even as Lorenzo squirmed, furious. “Do you understand?”

Lorenzo glared at Giovanni, straining to free his legs, and the assassin sighed, manhandling Lorenzo onto his chest and lapping a wet stripe down his arching spine. “Perhaps a further lesson in humility is in order, padrone.”

Lorenzo was going to kill Giovanni once he was free.

OP here~! ADfhjfhdsthd I almost gave up on looking back at my prompt, but I finally did and I'm so glad but sfjdshatfhjdst this is so amazing I hope you'll consider continuing ;o;
