I have now spent half an hour mentally imagining a situation where an injured sparrow crashes through Malik's window and he names it Altair. At first it doesn't like him and keeps biting his fingers, but Malik takes care of it anyway. Bandaging it, making sure it's comfortable, feeding it, bathing it and even taking it outside sometimes to watch the other birds fly and telling it that maybe it'll fly someday too.

And then it heals so he lets it go and he's a little sad because his little sparrow Altair is never coming back.
