AU, please.

Maria is the perfect poster wife, mother, and daughter. Everyone thinks that she and Giovanni are the perfect couple with the perfect children: dining high class, wearing the best of the best, owning expensive cars and villas.

Maria Auditore is the wife of Giovanni Auditore, a wealthy banker with the most successful of "businesses".

And she hates it.

She hates how confined she is, knowing that she has to be so fake, knowing that the world sees her for only her facade; she hates the mistresses Giovanni has and how it's allowed, the gossip, the superficial elements, how she barely remembers her old self.

She hated it all.

Until she meets HIM.

Altair Ibn La-Ahad, a man who barely "broke" the ties that bound him to the life of assassinations and the Creed, moves into Italy to lay low while chaos is being sorted. He had been betrayed by Malik A-Sayf, a man he had thought to be his sworn brother, and wanted to forget the death of his wife and children, even if it meant that he was to leave a life of luxury and class. And one day, he runs into a certain woman (w/e scenario writer!anon wants it to be).

Maria is intrigued by this stranger, and they become fast friends; Altair knows who she is, as the wife of "The Banker", one who everyone in the underworld of corruption knows, but she knows him as the man who knows a lot about philosophy, and the one who rekindles a sense of hope within her. And soon, she falls for Altair, and vice versa.

And they try to run away, or ...
something.
