When I wrote it, I shrugged and went with it. I figure if spouses/lovers/family/close friends gradually adjust to the fact that they can both do their individual business in the washroom with one another and not mind after many years of co-habitation - I took the short route for enforcing an equalizer in their relationship. It's not romantic yet, clearly, on either side, but one's already seen another at his most vulnerable, which makes it even. After all, Desmond's pretty much seen Ezio do the whole spectrum of what can and is considered something intimate/private. And nothing says another person knows you in a way only your maker would by having seen you bare all and then some. Ezio's probably been around the block regarding sensitive matters that it literally does not phase him.

No one considers the complete nastiness of drippage in fanfiction either, but that is for another day.

Honestly that's the most ridiculously disgusting thing I've heard in a long time, but it's funny as ..well...shit. It's really gross, I wouldn't even want to see my husband taking a dump and I'd carve someone in half and spoon feed them their own liver for him. It's realistic that something like this would happen, but so nasty and at the same time the funniest thing.

Oh how I love being a 12 year old boy in my mind. Desmond getting the shit beat out of him for not shutting up was also unbelievably hilarious. I just kept imagining Ezio screaming, OMG WHY WON'T YOU STFU!? Funny stuff that. xDDDD

Lol, but yeah, I think being raised the way I was has a lot to do with the blase attitude toward bodily functions. I was brought up to think if I had to go, I had to go - number 1s and number 2s were natural and so was the gas and burps. To hold any of the four in was to ask for trouble and if you took care of your body and respected it, it would take care of you in return.

Ezio has Minerva's message to get an early bond to Desmond. Desmond has had a long time in Ezio's memories to gain a bond with Ezio (Ezio unknowing). Meeting up was icing on the cake. The whole taking care of Desmond and Desmond realizing that was only more seeds in the pot - sure, he's a bit off-put now, but I imagine later on he'll be thankful that Ezio didn't just leave him to his mess. That, would be more of a humilating, demeaning factor had Ezio done so.

I imagine that your thought process was exactly like my mom's before my dad got ridden with disease. Now, she does that and more for him, and by acting blase to the whole matter and assuring him again and again that there's no need to be sorry and that it's okay, really enforces that she's there for my dad and loves him no matter what, and his embarrassment lessens enough that he can later laugh and go back to being as positive as possible. That's true love for me, right there. They can snark and get crabby at each other, some days positively ignore each other, but should anything happen, she'd be there (when he was a lot better, it was a two-way street). I guess, because that experience is very real to me, I want to portray a certain facet of that in here, in that instance - I know it won't pop up again, because too much of it and people'll are gonna be like, "ZOMG, squicky-squick!" lol. So, although I never described in detail (and won't), I do make mention of things that can and do happen to people all over the world.

And I am sincerely glad that you're enjoying yourself! Please, continue. Laughter is the best medicine, or at least, the best for the strengthening spirit. :)
