mini-fill?

Newbie!anon would like to post a mini-fill that newbie!anon wrote. Newbie!anon also realizes that newbie!anon's writing is minimalistic, and would very much like feedback of any sort, but particularly about that. Also, novices are OOC because the first thing that newbie!anon thought of when newbie!anon heard about them was the small children that newbie!anon teaches to swim during the summer (who follow newbie!anon everywhere during that time), and thus the novices are rather obnoxious (disclaimer: newbie!anon actually loves newbie!anon's swimmers, they are adorable). (Newbie!anon also regrets not thinking of a way to include la Volpe, as newbie!anon finds the third person very entertaining.)

“Shh! They’ll wake up!”

"But look-"

"Shhh!"

"Aw, they’re so … sweet, in an old guy kind of way."

"What did I just say?"

"Il Mentore is going to flip when he wakes up-"

"Nah, this is probably normal for them-"

"Hey! Quit spreading rumors!"

"They’re not rumors if they’re true-"

"Besides, everyone knows he has a soft spot for the artista-"

"Ngh. My head hurts-"

"Oh, you’re awake. Pipe down, do you want them to hear?"

"Want who to - oh."

"Yeah."

"Um."

"What are you thinking?"

"I can’t tell you."

"Pervert."

"Asshole."

"Quiet! They’re moving."

The four assassins-in-training held their breath as il Mentore shifted in his sleep, nudging the hat of the man sleeping against him. Without opening his eyes, the artista grabbed at his red beret and replaced it firmly on his head before snuggling back into his original position. Their breathing slowly regained its gentle rhythm, and the trainees relaxed.

"Close," said one.

"Too close," snapped another.

"I knew it," the third added smugly.

They all turned to the fourth, who was still staring at the sleeping forms.

"The sex is probably fanta-"

"SHUT UP!" the other three hissed, their faces flushing.

. . . Newbie!anon looks once more upon this mini-fill, and realizes that although it may have originally been meant as a fill, it is now more of a misfire. Newbie!anon is a bit embarrassed, and hastily apologizes.
