Ahhh not-OP here and totally looking forward to a possible fill. Another reason they could have permitted it is if they did it on a Crusader. Some people and saracens of the age hated Crusaders (obviously) and regarded them as swine/animals, etc. While there are definitely Saracens who held their honor/masked their distaste (such as Saladin), I imagine Al Mualim and the assassins would have had no qualms with slicing up a crusader. This was the path I chose to go when I started writing for this fill but as I may not finish it all the way, writer!anon is free to run with it if he/she wishes :3

If I do finish hopefully OP and writer!anon won't mind if I post it here anyway?

Writer!anon does not mind at all, otherwriter!anon ;-)! The more, the merrier, right =)? I'm reallllllly interested to see how your fill turns out (and I do hope you'll finish it), and your idea with slicing up a Crusader sounds quite good to me (slicing up Crusaders will also turn up in my fill, but only in the second part ^^).
