Oldzio training Altair and Malik

Apple shenanigans results in Revelations!Ezio getting transported to Masyaf while Altair and Malik were still novices. As a cover for his sudden appearance, he poses as an envoy from the Italian Assassins here in the hopes to share knowledge so that both factions can learn from one another (at the very least it would buy him some time). Because they don't trust him with high level information, at least until they can get a message over to confirm his story, they put him with the novices to see how they are managed and to maybe help train them himself.

Ezio is fine with this, a bit excited at the prospect of new training regimens for his own recruits, and is especially thrilled to find the great eagle of Masyaf (more of a fledgling at this point) as one of his new students. A bond grows between Ezio, Altair, Malik and the rest of his students until Ezio's cover becomes discovered and he becomes hunted by the order.

Main plot hole IMO: Didn't Revelations essentially retcon the Polos into being the founders of the Italian [i]and[/i] Turkish orders? Unless the Levantine Assassins are both aware of the far-flung nature of the global Assassin orders (so that Ezio's story isn't immediately treated as impossible) yet not so worldly as to be aware that the Italian order wasn't founded yet...

There were Assassins in Rome early enough to kill Caesar. Yes the Polos formed an Assassin's guild there, but that doesn't necessarily mean they were the only ones who did. I kinda figured the Italian Assassins before the Polos were a somewhat disjointed group without much central leadership. Not really a major threat, but they were there. So Ezio's cover could be the guise of unifying/strengthening the presence of the brotherhood in that portion of the world.
