(Spoilers for GotG!) The Apple of Eden actually contains an Infinity Stone.

Do with that what you will anons. Maybe the casing contains the stone's powers to make it more useable. Those that came before are actually those that perished to it's power? Just have fun anons. Maybe throw in Leonardo actually solving the casing thus exposing the stone and nearly burning because of it? Bend the rules for this AU guys. Have fun!

Oh. My. GOD, THIS IS AWESOME. And now I want crazy, space adventures with the gang.

Altair, Ezio and Connor who are Nova Corps elite secret agents. Desmond is the trio's protege. He's always getting into fights with his dad, William, who was brilliant Nova Corps secret agent. Retired, William's always on Desmond's case. Achilles is their weary, eye-rolling captain. He and Malik, his snarky, right-hand man, constantly bond over how much of supposed fuck-ups the Assassin quartet is. Leonardo is in charge of the Corps Research and Development department. He also loves smuggling the quartet the coolest weapons and tech. Aveline, another secret agent, has a friendly rivalry with the quartet. She prefers working alone, but whenever shit hits the fan, she's always down to bail them out.

Meanwhile, Edward is a wealthy, retired smuggler and the quartet's main informant. Haytham took over his dad's operation long ago, but turned it into a brutal crime syndicate (which prompted Edward to become an informant and breaks his heart). He and Connor are always in emotional and deadly conflict. Lucy, Shaun and Rebecca are team of snarky bounty hunters who take bounty hunting contracts from the Assassin quartet. Unfortunately, Lucy is a double-agent for Thanos and/or Haytham. And EVERYONE wants that Infinity Gem/Piece of Eden.

Of course, these crazy people are always running into Star Lord and his team of misfits. Sometimes they team up, sometimes they're in opposition...sorry, I got a little carried away with imagining everything :-P
