Evie/Henry period racism/bigotry becomes dangerous

In Victorian London, I would imagine an interracial couple like Henry and Evie wouldn't go down so well, and may have even been illegal. Evie's a strong woman and has never felt the need to conform, and Henry has always strove the follow the pacifist route and avoiding confrontation. Both are strong in themselves, and their love for each other. Also they are Assassins, they do not need to be afraid.

But bravey isn't always enough to over-come bigoted intolerance turned to hatred. People are not supposed to step out of their roles - Evie is a woman and must conform, and Henry...well he should have more sense than to be seen with and English woman and some people feel if they won't listen and respect social norms, they need to be taught a lesson, especially Evie learning a woman's true place...
