Altair/Malik, templar torture with a twist

(Anonymous) 2012-11-14 11:10 am (UTC)(link)
Altair and Malik get captured by Templars. They threaten to torture Altair, but are willing to leave him be if Malik agrees to let them do one thing - cut off his right arm. To Altair's great shock, Malik agrees.

Of course, Altair manages to save the situation just in time.

Because who doesn't want to pet cutie-patootie Connor?

(Anonymous) 2012-11-14 05:17 pm (UTC)(link)
The real reason Connor avoids being touched is that he likes it a little too much: if it keeps up, he ends up sprawling all over like a dog, too eager for the pettings to keep a grip on his sense of shame.

Someone (I'm not terribly choosy who) finds this out, to their amusement.

What does he do? What do they do?

Connor and the things he clings to

(Anonymous) 2012-11-14 08:57 pm (UTC)(link)
You can't really deny that Connor's life up until the end of AC3 has been rather nasty. He lost his mother, his mentor, his father, his people and has been betrayed by what he considered the hope of his people.

So he develops the habit of clinging to things. What he clings to is up to Author Anon.

Is it the people of the Homestead? Something his mother or Achilles left behind? Something that belonged to Haytham or his clan?

I was thinking along the lines of 5 Times Connor clung to something and 1 time he let it go but if you come up with other things, by all means, go ahead!

Minerva's Future

(Anonymous) 2012-11-14 09:22 pm (UTC)(link)
Guys, why hasn't this been prompted yet? Desmond chooses not to release Juno. Minerva's future starts to unravel. Anything with that, as much or as little as anons can come up with!

Some ideas:
- Waiting for the worst to be over, so the four of them can come back to the surface and look for other survivors
- Emerging from the cave
- Desmond using all the skills Connor left him to teach his new people to live off the land, all of Altair's experience to help him run things and get shit done, all of Ezio's charm to keep people content, keep them unified
- What kind of technology are they able to re-produce? What kind of skills do they have to re-learn and teach themselves?
- Maybe Desmond can't help but draw parallels between their new settlement and the Davenport settlers
- Shaun, Bill and Rebecca taking up roles to help lead the people

Extra bonus points if there's some Desmond/Shaun, but I'm not picky, honestly.

I mean, we have this ready-made post-apocalyptic AU setting and we're not even writing it, guys!!

Haytham's Journal - Connor, angst/reminiscence

(Anonymous) 2012-11-14 11:50 pm (UTC)(link)
"I never knew him. Not really. I thought I had but it wasn't until I read his journal that I realized I hadn't really known him at all. And it's too late now. Too late to tell him I misjudged him. Too late to tell him I'm sorry." - Connor Kenway, Prologue

So I think some of you know about Assassin's Creed 3: Forsaken, a journal written by Haytham himself and how he watches his son from afar and how much he's grown and such.

Make a short fill about Connor finding his journal and reading some of the entries, and what he thinks about it and Haytham.

Connor is such a cutie patootie...but his life is so god damn TRAGIC. He seems to lose what he loves, no mater how hard he works to protect it.

What if, just once, Connor was able to do just that? Protect what he loved, keep it safe, not lose it to death or betrayal?

I just want, for once, something to go right for Connor.

It could be an AU where he was able to save his mother, or it could be some time post game. He could have a family he kept safe, an animal, an idea...just something that he doesn't lose tragically.

I just want him to be happy...):

He'd definitely earned it...

(Anonymous) 2012-11-15 09:45 am (UTC)(link)
YES SECONDED. I mean, all that crap he has to go through... at least Ezio had all his lovers and Altair was a badass respected Assassin. I have to admit, Connor is the most innocent, sweet and 'nice' of the three (Ezio the perv, Altair the jerkass) and he has the WORST life. Things just keep going wrong for him. He deserves something to go right for once.

Modern AU, Haytham, Connor

(Anonymous) 2012-11-15 12:56 am (UTC)(link)
Has there been a prompt for a modern AU where Haytham gets custody of the son he never knew he had, and Connor is an angry teenager, and he thinks Haytham walked out on his mom and him, but slowly learns that there's so much more to the story and Haytham is really, really trying to be a good dad?

Because the Journal of Haytham Kenway is making me burn with desire for something where they don't miss out on the chance to get to know each other, and Connor finally knows enough to give him a chance, and forgives him, and accepts him...

And Haytham buys him a dog for company, because a boy should have a dog, right?

snips and snails and puppy dog tails

(Anonymous) 2012-11-24 11:12 pm (UTC)(link)
or: Haytham gets Connor a dog and is disappointed in Ezio Auditore for not keeping a leash on his employees.

-----

Connor did volunteer work at the Auditore shelter on Mondays and Fridays, three to six in the afternoon after school was finished. Which was why Haytham strode into the shelter at ten in the morning, not a hair out of place and expression fixed into a smooth, indifferent one. The employee seemed to be busy doodling on a blank piece of paper and didn't seem to notice the older man until Haytham was standing in front of the desk and clearing his throat. Only then did the employee look up, a grin lighting up his face when he caught sight of Haytham's face.

“You're Connor's old man, right?”

It was a pity how much human intellect had suffered under the younger generations obsession with video games and the internet. If this young man had spent less time watching screens and talked to some actual people instead, his thick Italian accent wouldn't have been as noticeable.

“I supposed I must be, considering I had an appointment at ten and it's now...” Haytham checked his wristwatch, a single eyebrow climbing up as the seconds ticked by. “...three past ten.”

The employee just laughed and vaulted over the front desk without further ado, ignoring the way Haytham had to take a hasty step backwards to avoid being smeared by the dirt clinging to the young man's shoes. A small brown dog followed the employee, the collar indicating that he belonged to the employee.

“You're exactly like he described you. Looking as uptight and rigid as the old Queen herself. You sure you didn't want an appointment with him around? He knows which dog would have suited you better.”

Dear Lord, the employee possessed as much charm as a drunk Hickey. He was too loud and too obnoxious for Haytham's tastes. But he'd heard about the Auditore's choice of employees, they tended to be strays themselves, picked up from the streets by the founder himself. It was no wonder that Connor enjoyed being with these people, he often acted like a stray cat himself.

(Your son, the letter had read, old and yellow in Haytham's hands, got stuck in a tree today. He saw one of your old videos and is now trying to imitate you. You are missing out.

Haytham regretted every year that had passed without him meeting his own son.)

With a sigh, Haytham motioned for the employee to lead the way. If the man insisted on acting like Hickey, it would be best to treat him like that. “I am not here to get an animal for myself. In case you were unaware, his birthday is tomorrow.” Haytham saw no reason to elaborate, especially not when he caught sight of the widening grin spreading over the employee's face. Instead, he walked faster.

The sooner he could leave this place with a dog, the better.

Through a door they went and another, past the cats (which Haytham would have vastly preferred. They were quiet and self-sufficient and less needy than any dog Haytham had ever encountered) and to the kennels, most dogs outside in the warm April weather.

“These are our older dogs,” the employee said before whistling sharply on two fingers. A wave of barks answered the sound, raising in volume until it was a mess of barking and the sound of breathing and Haytham wondered if he could get away with telling the employee to go back to the desk again. Or somewhere he'd cause no trouble. He didn't even have the decency to look sheepish.

“On the left we have Sugar and Spice.” Two happy Maltese dogs were standing near the fence, short little tails wagging away, barking in a high pitched noise that already grated on Haytham's nerves as much as the employee did.

“If you don't mind, I'd like to take a look around by myself. I want to see them all in a safe environment before deciding which ones I'd like to have a closer look at.” Haytham's tone was as polite as the smile he wore he let Charles grumble and complain to him. It conveyed the same 'Please stop' vibes.

Apparently, the employee could read between the lines and with a nod, he turned around to leave.

“You got it, Pops! Come on, Curls.”

Finally, the older man was alone. With the still loudly barking dogs. And the smell of dog breath.

Haytham needed to have words with his son's employer about the people he took in. They were obviously in dire need of learning some respect.

Now a lot calmer, Haytham started to wander along the fences, stopping and studying every single one of them. Most of them were in good health, some had gone blind from old age already, their snouts white and their steps shaky but Haytham could still see the enthusiasm they carried in their hearts. When there wasn't a sign forbidding it, he stuck his hands through the bars and let them lick his fingers and to pet their heads.

It was only unfortunate that they were so old.

As with most cases, Haytham wanted a young dog for his son. There was a single reason for this: He wanted Connor to spend a long time with his dog. He wanted it to be worthwhile, to watch them grow close and older together. Old dogs, friendly as they were, did not meet the criteria. They would die too soon and another loss was not what Connor needed.

Not so soon anyway.

So Haytham, after petting all the heads pushing against the fences, after talking to every dog that came to him in a low voice, moved on. The younger ones were further back, running along, falling all over each other, wanting to play and chase and sleep all at the same time and yet accomplishing very little. When they caught sight of Haytham, they tripped over their paws as they raced towards him, yipping and barking and full of life. They pressed themselves against the fence, sniffed at his fingers and tugged at the hem of his sleeves, one or two licking at his hands until they were coated in loving dog slobber.

This was what Haytham was looking for. Young, unrelenting potential.

Every single one of the young dogs was inspected, every single one petted and checked for injuries or handicaps. And it just so happened that the brown dog, the one with a pink nose and warm, dark eyes and missing the left hind leg, caught Haytham's attention. She was as enthusiastic as her peers, with the same wet nose and the same happy dog smile. But she as the one who insisted on pressed her nose against his hands and came back every time she was shoved away. She waited patiently for her turn again and again, barely making any noise and just quietly wagging her tail.

Haytham barely managed to hide his smile.

“She's Connor's favorite.”

Haytham nearly jumped out of his skin and only years of learning restraint and patience kept him from whirling around and punching Ezio Auditore in the face.

The man looked as unreadable as always, hair graying at the temples and hands hidden in the pockets of what had once been a white, now gray jacket. His back was still ramrod straight and his relaxed stance was betrayed by the positioning of his feet.

Once upon a time, Haytham had worked with Ezio's father. They hadn't parted on the best terms and when Connor told Haytham that he had gotten the volunteer job at the Auditore shelter, Haytham had quietly sighed and resigned himself to further interaction with a family he had preferred to avoid.

“She seems like she would make a fine companion.”

A smirk spread over Ezio's face and he pulled out a leash from one of his pockets. He was like a wolf that had smelled blood and wanted to go in for the kill.

“Do you want to take her for a walk?”

---

The front door slamming shut noisily was all Haytham needed to know about Connor's mood.

“Take off your shoes before you get dirt all over the floor.” He didn't even bother raising his voice, his son's stomping ceased almost immediately, followed by the noise of two shoes hitting the floor. Haytham quietly asked himself when Connor would learn to not wear his emotions on his sleeve.

And to put his shoes away properly.

Then Connor poked his head into his father's study, eyebrows drawn together. He looked slightly worse for the wear, as he usually did after spending an afternoon outside, playing with dogs of all ages. Right now, his lips were pulled back into a thin line, obviously conflicted about something.

Haytham turned the page of his newspaper.

“You look as if you had a bad day.”

Huffing, Connor moved the rest of his body into the room and leaned against the door frame, arms crossed over his chest, a tightly knit ball of emotions. A wrong word and he'd blow up. They had both done this dance often enough to know each other's body language by now.

“...Someone adopted Aquila. I know--” Connor raised a hand as if to ward of any scathing words Haytham might attempt to throw at him. “--I know I should be happy for her. They told me she was in good hands with her new owners but I still wish...”

“Wishes are for children, Connor. Besides, I think you'll find she's not far away.”

Connor gave his father a funny look before shaking his head and pushing himself away from the door frame to make his way towards the kitchen. His father was as cryptic and unreadable as always. Just for once in his life, it would have been nice if he had shown some sympathy, some sort of interest.

A few heartbeats later, loud barking filled the air and Connor made a surprised noise before he started laughing.

Satisfied, Haytham hid his smile behind the newspaper.

-----

I hope the OP is okay with this. As soon as I saw the word dog, this hit me like a brick to the face.

If there's anyone out there who thinks about adopting a dog from a shelter, please don't ignore the older ones. While they sometimes come with baggage, they are just as loving and their bellies in as much need of a good rubbing as their younger counterparts. Thank you very much.

So I may or may not have just seen the new James Bond

(Anonymous) 2012-11-15 04:05 am (UTC)(link)
I mean...it is just an AU that fits. Obviously, it would be through MI6 but seriously, assassin spy time. With the standard pairings of course.

Malik and Altair are field agent partners that are dealing with a mission gone awry that has left Malik handicapped and dealing with a secretarial position or civilian life. Altair has been stripped of his ranks and dignity.

Connor is agent coming to grips that one of his targets is his estranged father. He is unsure wether or not to trust his blood or his company.

Ezio has a man on the inside (Leonardo) and has come under fire by the agency for risking the mission. Enemies are always quick to find ways to exploit love.

Desmond is a new agent who is learning the ropes and finding a way to deal with his snarky British handler.

And we have all the other elements. Lucy is a possible double agent. Connor struggled to hide his job from his friends. Ezio has to live up to his family standards. Altair needs to learn to loosen up a bit etc. etc.

Connor/Haytham, noncon, Haytham doesn't know

(Anonymous) 2012-11-15 11:38 pm (UTC)(link)
The Templars have captured that pesky Assassin that always gets in their way and messes with their plans, and Haytham, being severely annoyed, decides to deal with him personally. He sets about breaking Connor in every way he can - noncon, torture, brain-washing, until the young man is completely dependent on him. And then and only then does Haytham find out somehow that this young man he abused and broke and made his (fuck)toy is his son.

Haytham, You're too Sassy.

(Anonymous) 2012-11-16 01:46 am (UTC)(link)
Now, everyone knows and loves how Sassy and sarcastic Haytham Kenway is, hell. He gives Shaun a run for his money in terms of his sassiness.

As thick-skinned and hardy as Connor is, I bet he's always wanted to meet Haytham and probably would've gotten to know him, were he not a Templar. Regardless, Connor's secretly been trying to impress his father, which hasn't been going so well if Haytham's sassy remarks and comebacks are anything to go by. In particular when Connor has to captain his ship, Haytham criticises his leadership and steering skills.

I'd like to see all that sass and sarcastic comments final get to Connor, that is, he straight up starts to break down from what his Father says, much to Haytham's surprise.

Bonus points if Haytham tries to awkwardly comfort him and Connor responds by pushing him off his ship

GAAAH YES SECONDED. As much as I love Haytham, I wanted to toss his snarking ass of my damn ship because his comments only made me crash into every strip of land -___- (please have Connor end up pushing him of the ship :D)

One Sided The Preacher/Independent or Lady Maverick- Hellfire

(Anonymous) 2012-11-16 03:10 am (UTC)(link)
So, my Headcanon says that The Preacher from Multi-player is a lot like Frollo from Disney's Hunchback of Notre Dame (although MUCH more sympathetic) so I'd like to see a scenerio involving the song Hellfire with Preacher as Frollo and Independent or Lady Maverick (whichever one, take your pick) as Esmeralda.

Charles/Haytham - One-sided Charles beds Haytham

(Anonymous) 2012-11-16 05:04 am (UTC)(link)
I think it's no secret that Haytham and Ziio were in love. And I think the amount of homo Charles gives off for Haytham is simply off the charts. So what I want is this: Charles has been pining for Haytham for who knows how long, obeying his every order, chasing after that elusive Native woman, doing EVERYTHING for him, only for Haytham to 'betray' him by sleeping with Ziio. Then one day, the Templars get drunk off their asses, and Charles convinces a completely stoned Haytham to sleep with him. Haytham agrees without really knowing what he's doing. The next morning, Charles wakes up and sneaks away, all guilty and stuff for taking advantage of Haytham. The Grandmaster himself wakes up sometime later, pieces the events together, and realizes what's happened. How his takes it is up to the author.

Bonus points for:
- Uke!Haytham. Because it has to be done.
- Haytham mentioning that it's not his first time with a man; Reginald Birch slept with him when he was converting him to a Templar.
- Charles trying to deny everything/acting like nothing happened

Come on, all you Charles/Haytham shippers! It's practically canon! Let's give it our best shot!

THIS. Is amazing. I am simply shocked no one has filled this yet! So I will try to for you. :) I've always had an idea like this in my head anyway, but seeing this prompt totally gave me an excuse to do it.

OP you're awesome, you motivated me to write my first AC fic... yessss!! (but not first fic in general)

Territorial/Possessive Connor

(Anonymous) 2012-11-16 09:20 am (UTC)(link)
*Long prompt*
Connor comes across as a real sweetie but still manages to scare people without really trying, like when he goes to retrieve stolen supplies, this makes me wonder how people would react if he put his mind to it. Add in a hatred of say, Charles and I imagine sparks would fly.

The other thing that I noticed is that Connor reminded me of a leopard if you left him in a tree for too long, there was definite lounging going on.

So my prompt is this:
Connor/Haytham with bottom Connor. Connor being his normal sweet self while bonding and spending time *coughbuttingheadscough* with Haytham but should Charles or Thomas drop by then he becomes rather territorial and possessive of Haytham's time, preferably without Haytham catching on.

Bonus points for:
- Charles catching Connor in bed with Haytham and Connor rubbing it in his face non-verbally.
- Making Thomas so uncomfortable around him that Tom pretty much sticks to the opposite side of the room from Connor.
- Haytham is somewhat puzzled as to why both Charles and Thomas act as they do.
- Either Charles or Thomas notice the lounging and see it for what it really is, a hunter playing at being a house cat.
(I’m hoping my rambling made sense.)

Mmm, delicious prompt is delicious.

Also, in sequence 12, when he walks into Martha's Vineyard and bullies information out of that one guy? Omigawd, that was cold. And hot. And quietly efficient. That's how I see him for this prompt, is it just me?

Haytham wins

(Anonymous) 2012-11-16 10:11 am (UTC)(link)
1. What if Connor had not said "you and I are finished"?

This scene actually broke my heart a little. Haytham so planned the whole thing out to get Connor to break away from Washington only to have his ties severed as well. So what if Connor had not suspected his involvement and allowed him to come along?

2. What if Haytham won the fight?

When you played this sequence, did you hesitate at the last part? What if Connor had died from his injuries or was defeated by Haytham and imprisoned?

Haytham/Connor on the Homestead

(Anonymous) 2012-11-16 11:13 am (UTC)(link)
For some reason Haytham visits the Homestead and sees Connor for the first time with his guard totally down, running around and doing everyone's chores and favors for them with almost no prompting.

Maybe he thinks they're taking advantage of his idiot, bleeding heart son and tries to bureaucrat up the whole process or something?

I want to see this so much. Especially if he's there for the pig-herding mission.

Crack Request

(Anonymous) 2012-11-16 09:37 pm (UTC)(link)
I want Connor talking Pokemon into fighting with him since we all seem to agree that Connor is excellent with animals. Art, fic, whatever, I just want Connor talking Pokemon into letting him use them to defeat whatever villain you wish.

Bonus points if Desmond has been learning under Connor, and can also kinda-sorta-talk them into teaming up with him.

:)

Possible WriterAnon here?

(Anonymous) 2012-11-20 04:34 am (UTC)(link)
I have kind of an idea for this one, but I'm not sure if it'll fit OP's request. I promise it has Pokemon in it, but would OP be alright with Connor talking regular animals into fighting for him?

There may also be Connor/Desmond in here too...Sorry OP, the plot bunny ran away with me a bit...anyway, does any of that sound bad to you...?
