The Thalmor remind me so much of the Templars. I don't think the Assassin's fit the Dark Brotherhood, but perhaps the Blades?

I'm no fan of the Blades since Skyrim, they've turned into a weak and selfish shadow of what they used to be and I find it incredibly annoying that I can't just outright tell Delphine and Esbern a big fat NO concerning them wanting me to kill a certain old dragon, and they keep yabbing on about it while Alduin is molesting the world. And after Alduin's death we don't even get a thank you. Screw you too, bitches. That's just what I think though, I agree that the Assassins wouldn't fit in the Dark Brotherhood and there's not really another option besides the Blades. It's just... the Blades D: Bastards.

My friend and I were talking awhile ago about ACR and how Altaïr's character seemed...inconsistent. Well, for the first memory anyway. Because after memory 2 he is all wise and shit and things.

But the first memory, Altaïr seems like a pretty laid back guy and stuff.
And then we see him in the actual Assassin's Creed and...you know.
He's a total prick.
And I know about Adha, which lead to the lack of emotions probably, but him being an arrogant asshole? and tbh since he failed her it would make more sense that he lost confidence in himself as oppose to a big head. Unless it is just a ~*~mask~*~

So, anons, where when and how did out beloved middle eastern assassin become such an arrogant prick??

Apparently Altaïr sneered at Abbas over his (understandable) envy at Altaïr's elevation to Master Assassin (because of the events of the first memory), but otherwise it's presumable that Altaïr's successes over the next two years got to his head. After losing Adha? I can see him coping by deciding to focus his mental self-image on what he feels in control of and he's good at.

Because they really don't do it enough in-game, despite that they're last two Auditore kids left. And because I noticed that during Claudia's initiation in Brotherhood, Ezio makes it very clear that she's following in their father's, Federico's and Mario's footsteps and he seems rather proud to finally bring her into the fold...yet it's never mentioned again? Especially considering Claudia's apparently years-long simmering annoyance at being left behind to fend for herself back at Monteriggioni.

How about the two bond after the assassin initiation ceremony? Maybe they hit up a tavern, get a little tipsy and silly and all sweetly nostalgic for how far they've come all "that which doesn't kill me makes me stronger." Nothing too sad, but still acknowledging that they're assassins and they're literally half the family they used to be. Bonus points for their mom chiming in or making an appearance.

Aww, this was my prompt, thanks for reposting it! And word, if someone wants to take a crack at it feel free. If only because the remaining Auditore kids need more (innocent) fun times together. Especially considering in AC:R, Ezio seems to write Claudia every chance he gets, including about more personal things (like his mention of Sofia). Not to mention, in Embers, it's implied Claudia lives close, considering Sofia takes the kids to see her for the day.

This song has been stuck in my head for a long while, and somehow it spawned headcanons! So, basically after the whole incident with Cristina, Ezio was completely devastated, romantically. He promised to never let himself get that close to another person again, instead choosing to fulfill his more physical needs with prostitutes, etc etc, basically being the Hugh Hefner of the Renaissance, and being perfectly content with it because at least he wouldn't get hurt again. All of this changed when he met Sofia.

Sex is not exactly a requirement, though I would like to see some angst and perhaps some bro-venting with Yusuf, and a million bonus points if there's some teeth-rotting fluff between Ezio and Sofia!

025 Trouble Lurking

Altair assembled the assassins before him, looking as grand as he could. His gaze swept over them, and he flicked the Eagle Vision on, watching as the wave of blue filled his vision. He could almost see the hearts of all of them beating all at once. They were the same brotherhood: they were the same person. It was all still the same, just with a different head. And as he looked over the sea, he frowned at a flickering, slightly purplish in color.

Abbas. His biggest enemy.

Regardless, he had to ignore it as he started rebuilding the castle. Malik was by his side at every moment, guiding, directing, pushing. He was more than anything that Altair could have hoped for. The man was from Heaven, always patient and remembering more than Altair could, telling him his schedule, directing him from point A to point B. He needed the man more than life, and the entire brotherhood depended on them. There was so much do that he had to leave Abbas alone. He knew that this wasn’t a good idea, but neither he nor Malik knew of any other way. So, they had to leave him alone long enough to get the brotherhood on its feet.

And when they did, Altair started watching Abbas. He had spies follow the man’s footsteps, stalking his shadow, listen to everything he said, everything he wrote. He could see it in the man’s eyes, feel it in his presence. He was up to no good. There was nothing loyal about that man to them, and the sooner they found reason to doubt him the better.

But what terrified him most was the way he looked at Malik. It was as if he were sizing him up like a cat sizes up her prey. He watched, and Altair could see the gears in his head turning. Malik could feel it. There was no denying it. The man was becoming paranoid, looking over his shoulder every few moments, staying closer to Altair than he had thought he was. There was nothing good about Abbas. Altair forbade Malik from practicing in the daylight, with anyone other than those deemed trustworthy and sworn into an oath of silence. If Abbas would attack, then Altair would make sure that he didn’t know how strong the cripple was. Abbas was clever, but he was even more.

So when the door holding the logs in the trap outside the walls of Masyaf “accidentally” unlatched and crushed the man and his followers, Altair simply nodded, asking them to examine it, only to pass it off as a mouse, or the wind, or a supernatural force.
He refused to let it be known that it was himself that pulled the latch free, and that it was a clone from the Apple sitting at the desk as the assassins ran in.

Oh, yes, Abbas was smart and crafty. But Altair was even better.

Just got finished watching Embers (no, I'm not crying, something's just in my eye...*sniffle*) and noticed that Claudia and Machiavelli apparently live pretty close to Ezio; Sofia takes the kids to Machiavelli's at one point, and someone also mentions that Claudia's around too. I think Sofia also mentions taking the kids to visit her as well.

How about a fic with Ezio, Machiavelli and Claudia hanging out, telling stories and reminescing about the past? Bonus points if they're doing it around Sofia, who I think would be fascinated with the whole lot of them. Double bonus points if Ezio's kids are all hysterically blase and "Whatever, the old folks be talkin' crazy again! *eyeroll*"

Holiday Prompt - Auditores

Anyway, my dad's overseas so he can't be here for Christmas so I need something FLUFFY. Like, cavity-inducing fluff.

The Auditore family at Christmas, pre-AC2. Don't really care for ages (though I am in the sudden mood for child!Ezio, d'aww~). Maybe Ezio is super excited on Christmas morning or maybe the family is just starting to decorate for the holidays. Mostly, it's up to the write!anon. Have fun with it :]

Earlier tonight I was contemplating to write this or not, it would be so short, didn't knew if that was what OP wanted. Decided to dribble it down anyway, and see what you think, or otherwise inspire people to write better and longer fics.

So with all good intentions;

Truth be told, he was sad. Everything had been perfect! There was even snow. Everyone had gathered in the kitchen that morning. Everyone but Giovanni.
Maria, his beautfil mother, had told them Lorenzo needed him.

Basically one day in the Sanctuary* (I figure they've been closer than they would have in the warehouse Hideout) someone notices that Rebecca's moving a little differently when "listening to her music" than usual, so when her back is turned... YOINK!

... and then that someone then freezes when it's the sound of a low moaning, or whimpering, or gasping or other muttered sounds of sex coming out of the headphones they're holding... and the voice is one of them!

TL;DR: Naughty Rebecca's been listening to the audio equivalent of a sex tape of one of them (possibly herself)... the context and whatever happens next is up to the writeanon, be as serious (breach of trust anyone?**), smutty (maybe they decide to punish her?), or crackfic as you like!

* There's something about the dynamic in Brotherhood that leads me to believe that the villa's where a lot of us anons are setting our OT4.

I was always sort of struck by the odd weirdness of picking up your newest assassination targets via pigeon. I feel there is a lot of possibility for a mixup or miscommunication. Anyways, I would love to see one of the assassins getting a message from their higher ups telling them that their next target is their lover (make it slash). They dwell on it, wonder if it's a lie, panic, etc. They convince themselves to go and do the deed but not without one last night together with the target. You am decide if they actually kill the person, if the target actually was a traitor or if everything was just a huge misunderstanding. Anyways, SERIOUS SHOT GOES DOWN.

Giovanni was keenly aware of many sounds as he stood on the executioner's platform. The murmur of the crowd, the creaking of the wood beneath his feet, the soft rustling of Federico's clothes as he struggled to remove the rope from around his wrists, Petruccio's soft, panicked breathing as he tried desperately to keep himself calm. He could hear himself yelling insults and curses at Uberto, hear the blood rushing in his ears even more than he could feel his own heart pounding.

And he could hear music -- distant and faint, as if it weren't truly there. He thought himself mad as first, even as he kept snapping and snarling at the man he'd thought to be his ally, but the more he listened, to the music now more than anything, the more he thought that perhaps it merited his attention. His life was at an end, he knew -- ah, there it was, the heavy clunk of the floor dropping out from underneath him, the whistling of the wind in his ears -- and it filled him with rage to know that Federico and Petruccio's were ending with his. The music did not calm him, but as the sound grew clearer it made him think, that perhaps, this was not the end for them all.

He thought of Maria and Claudia, how he was sure that they would support each other in the days to come. He thought of Ezio, and how he would have to continue his work alone. He thought of Mario, who Ezio was sure to seek out -- though perhaps only for a little while. The music grew, drowning out all else, and perhaps the music shouldn't have made him feel assured and confident in the future of his daughter, his wife, his one remaining son. Of course, perhaps it wasn't wrong to take comfort in such a thing in a moment such as this.

But then there was pain, blackness, a sharp creaking sound, and the music stopped.

I've always speculated that while in Abstergo, if Desmond ever tried to hide from the cameras in his room, the guards would come in and bust his head. And then I came across a prompt for Apple!time-travel shenanigans. My brain combined the two ideas somehow, which leads me to my prompt.

Before he gets very far with Altair's memories, Desmond tries to hide behind a towel while he takes a shower. When Vidic sends the guards in, Desmond has *mysteriously vanished*! Cut to the Rosa in Fiore, where Claudia has to deal with a wet, naked, and very confused Desmond who tries to trade this strange gold orb he has for pants.

BONUS: They don't have any men's clothes on hand.

Not least because whether or not he's talked with Lucy a lot yet, this Desmond hasn't dealt with his Assassin past, met the rest of the Modern Times quartet or doesn't know anything about the Auditores... so you've actually got a premise for a very solid AU here!
